I support this petition. I am not able to travel and go to quilt shows. This is my lifeline to what is new in quilting.
Many of the shops are closing and it is not because of lack of interest. I do support my quilt shop and I also really enjoy Alex's show many years ago I had a class with her and she was just delightful. Plus the information on the quilting. I have purchased many patterns from the quilt shops because of this T.V. program. Please do not cancel there are so many new Ideas and this way people who cannot travel have their world open for them.I think you should have more quilt programs, craft, jewlery making on tv and forget all these sports.

I support this petition. In New Zealand they are running re-runs of the older shows every day. I do not miss a single episode. Please keep this show on the air, it keeps people even as far away as New Zealand in touch with the American quilting movement.

How can you think of cancelling probably the only show on HGTV that is worth watching? I wish Simply Quilts was at least an hour long show as it is educational and entertaining - how many other HGTV shows can you say that about?
This program is one of very few TV shows for quilters today. The quilting community is much larger than the corporate world realizes. To remove this one great resourse will be devistating. I support this petition.
I support this petition. The trend in TV programming seems to favor reality type shows - decorating makeovers and construction. I TIVO Simply Quilts everyday and look forward to watching it when I come home from work. We need to keep this show that highlights the quilting and sewing arts.

Since then, I have introduced others to the show and we rely on it and HGTV for quality programming that teaches, informs and encourages. My concern is that beginning quilters in particular will not have access to the information and instrution that Alex so aptly provides. The show also keeps us abreast of the latest trends, techniques, and designers. PBS in metro Dallas has dropped almost all quilting shows, and we need this important avenue of new information. Please reconsider the cancellation of Simply Quilts - This is part of an American Heritage that is so in vogue right now. Quilting has been not only a productive art but a social event with so many people. Please reconsider and do know that I support this petition.

This show introduces the latest quilt trends along with the old and gives us a sense of how quilting has walked hand in hand with our ancestors. I support this petition. Please DO NOT remove Simply Quilts. I've learned a great deal from the show. It has information for all levels of quilters. It is the only quilt show available in my viewing area that I'm aware of. I wish it was shown on weekends too.
