With all the reality (yuck) tv and building (remodeling and motorcycles, etc.) it really would be terrible to lose one of the few really interesting shows on HGTV. Please reconsider.
I support this petition. We need to continue to reach our heirs with the arts of our current and past world..take the ten commandments take the pledge and re-wrk it and now you want my Simply Quilts? Good God man what has happened to you?
I support this petition.IT is thru this show I got interested in quilting. I still learn many new techiques here. Please do NOT cancel, We have so few chances to see other sewing shows or to see quilts others have made and learn from them.
I support this petition.
This show is a wonderful resource chock full of information, tips and inspiration given to Quilters by knowledgeable women and men that yearn to keep this wonderful art and slice of Americana in our homes and hearts and futures. Please reconsider and keep this show going with the awesome Alex Anderson as our hostess and teacher. Thank you!
I support this petition. This is a great show with much effort to appeaal to all types of quilters and those who appreciate quilting. The tradition of quilting needs to be on TV. This is the program I watch more consistently than any other.
I started quilting because of this show. I watch it faithflly, (even the re-runs)I work in a fabric shop and Simply Quilt segments are a hot topic of discussion. If you need sponsors, why not contact some fabric mfgrs. I signed up for cable so I could have Simply Quilts in my TV line up. I hope you aren't considering another deocorating show. Though I like them too, we only have one quilting show"! I truly support this petition.
I support this petition.
This is a wonderful show for all new and old quilter's, it has helped me with many a new quilts,I really hope that you reconsider your decesion to Cancel this Show
I support this petition.
You I have watched HGTV since its inception some time ago and I have watched its evolotion to a channel that seems to have lost its focus on who it's audiance and and what they want. Simply quilts is one of the few shows remaining on your station that doesn't try and target everything that is trendy and young.
I find myself more and more moving to Discovery Home, BBC American and even DIY network because your station has forgotten it seems your mission.
I support this petition for 2 primary reasons the first is and most important -- it is a quality show showing all the lastest trends in art of quilting. the second is because I do not have to listen to some young person with litte or no experience trying to instruct me on something they themselves have little or no experience with.

I support this petition. I get up at 6:00am to watch Simply Quilts and it is the only good TV program that is on any of the channels. Please do not cancel. Please continue to make new ones.Kathy Wilkening
I hugely support this petition! I've quilted for over 30 years. I teach quilting and "Simply Quilts" is a huge incentive for new and intermediate quilters, plus there's always something new for 'oldies' like me to review, pick up or simply learn anew. How can there NOT be room for a well-done, informative and creative quilt program??
Cancel "Simply Quilts" and replace it with --- what? Another show of "make-over rooms" or another cooking show?
America has MILLIONS of contented quilters. Please let us continue to enjoy Alex Anderson!
I support this petition. This is a great show, I have watched just about every show, I have only been quilting for about 4 years, and it would be really sad, to see you take this show off the air. WE do NOT need another room or home decorating show. Simply Quilts not only targets the people that have been Quilting for years but it targets the new ones also.
I really hope that you will reconsider you decesion to take this show off the air. Alex Anderson is a great teacher and she has had some wonderful Guest on her show that has taught me many new techniques and new ideas. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS SHOW OFF THE AIR>
I support this petition. It is the reason I have Satellite. So much information for the quilting worldd and believe me we are a very large worls right now.
I support this petition. I watch every episode of simply quilts for years and enjoy it enormously. There is nothing else like it on TV and new episodes are sorely needed by the sitching community. PLEASE continue with this popular program.
I support this petition. There aren't many quilting programs on television and I would hate to lose one!! Please reconsider your plans to cancel this much-loved program. Thank you.
I support this petition.I get up 1 hour earlier just so I can watch Simply Quilts. It is the best Quilt program that has ever been made. Please Please reconsider this.
I support this petition. The audience for this show certainly has the disposible income to purchase the many products and services promoted on HGTV shows. I will tune in rarely, if at all, if HGTV does not reverse their decision.
I support this petition. I get up EVERY morning - to watch and LEARN from Alex and her guests. Please keep the show going with new episodes. I have told every body I know about Ms. Burns being in the show on Jan 9th. PLEASE KEEP SIMPLY QUILTS.
I support this petition. I am amazed that you would cancel the only quilting show you have on the air. It's one of the better shows you have on the air.
I support this petition.Bring back simply quilts. How could you even think to delete her program. I am learning to quilt and she is such a big help with her program. You have a great program here. Please bring her back.
I support this petition. I love the diversity of techniques shown on Simply Quilts and it is a major draw to me discovering your channel as well as tuning into other programs.
I support this petition. Please, please reconsider your plan to end Simply Quilts on HGTV. It is the only quality quilting show available to quilters that is of high quality and offers many techniques to quilters, both new and old.
I support this petition. It's a great show, loved by myself and many. I am a very experienced contemporary quiltmaker and still I pick up something new about every time I watch. It's an important piece of American culture that is needed.
I support this petition. I have enjoyed Simply Quilts since we got onto cable TV where we could see it. I have learned so much from these programs and the way Alex Anderson interviews her guests. She probably has done more from the quilting industry than anyone. Please keep her on and with new shows. Again I say PLEASE KEEP SIMPLY QUILTS!
I support this petition. I am one of the 2% of men that will respond to this request. My wife is a quilter, we have a quilt business, we watch Alex every day as well as Elenor Burns. These 2 women have added more to the art, culture, and interest in quilting then anybody. The quilting world is growing at phenominal rate and these two women are the major contributors. As I said in the beginning I am one of the 2% of men responding to this request. You should be aware that the other 98% of men that are married or attached to these quilters will also rebel against your channel or network. Alex show is fun and interesting and has value. If you are looking to eliminate shows that are not fun or interesting or have no value I would be happy to give you a list.
A large portion of Simply Quilts' viewers have access to substantial disposable income as is evidenced by the amount of money annually spent on sewing/quilting machines, fabric, books, gadgets, and other supplies. I would think that this is the type of viewer that you would want to keep. SQ is the only reason that I tune into HGTV, however, I often stay tuned and watch one or two shows that follow. I support this petition!!!
I support this petition. Please keep Simply Quilts on the air and add more sewing and quilting shows. Sewing is becoming a lost art. There are very few people who sew today. We need more sewing and less decorating.
I support this petition. As we move forward in the quilting community, we need to see what others are doing. Simply Quilts is an important part of the process for seeing new ideas.
I support this petition. I record this show everyday so I can watch when I get home. If anything, you should add more quilting shows to HGTV and keep Simply Quilts. It would be nice if you had the show in the evening too.
I support this petition. I wake up every morning at 8:00 am so I can be ready to watch Simply Quilts at 8:30 am. It is the highlight of my day and I have learned so much about quilting from Alex and her quests. Please renew the show, don't let a good thing get away from you!!!
As the only commercial-based, cable/satellite show dedicated to quilting (that I'm aware of), Simply Quilts should not be taken off the air. Its longevity should speak for its high quality since Alex Anderson is not only a creative quilter but a thorough, thoughtful teacher and host. The show apparently hasn't run out of good ideas yet, so allow it to continue, please. Also, it should be placed in a morning time slot when one doesn't have to get up with the roosters to watch it. Thank you for considering this petition.
I support this petition. Simply Quilts is the only show I watch daily. I can't believe that you would stop airing it. This is the only quilting show and it is consistently excellent. It's impossible to understand how you can run all of the different crafting shows and decorating shows and stop the only quilt show. I started watching your channel when I discovered Simply Quilts and have learned to quilt. The resources from this show are terrific.
I e-mailed HGTV yesterday(Comments @HGTV.com) This is the only show I watch on HGTV and got me interested in quilting. Simply Quilts keeps up with new ideas in quilting as well as the traditional. If we lose Simply Quilts, you lose me as a viewer.
I support this petition. Of all the quilting shows on the air I feel Alex Anderson and Simply Quilts has the most informative quilting show. I have learned more watching this show and would be extremely sad to see this fine show taken off the air. HGTV needs to know that the quilting audience wants this show to continue! We could actually do with a few less decorating shows!
