I support this petition.In this day of ugliness and filth in the media, HGTV is an island of wholesome, practical, friendly and fun information. As you know, quilting is still the #1 hand craft in North America. Simply Quilts has been the favorite of millions of quilting viewers for years. Please don't discontinue the program! In my local guild, people often mention a certain episode or technique that Alex or a guest teaches. Simply Quilts is the best quality of all the sewing / quilting / crafting shows ever. The program and Alex have sent a very loud message to quilters everywhere: "This is how to do a fun and beautiful art. We show you how. You can do it too." Keep sending out this message. Women and men in the tens of thousands are quilting, who, without the show, might not have ever taken it up. The quilting industry is argueably what it is in no small part because of Simply Quilts. Please do not stop producing it. If anything, add more quilt programming

I support this petition! We fought to keep Carol Duvall on HGTV and unfortunately lost. I sincerely hope the powers that be LISTEN to their LARGE quilting audience. If you go to HGTV.com and see the message boards, the quilting and needlework board is THE LARGEST. They stand to lose a large number of supporters if SQ is cancelled. -- What makes SQ so special? We actually have the ability to LEARN from Alex! she is a GREAT teacher, and she inspires us all! Those companies who advertize during SQ should be aware of the the $$ being spent by at THEIR stores or for their products.

I support this petition. Someone has not done their research about the size of the quilting audience. There were 55,000 quilters at the Houston Quilt Festival and that was just for a couple of days and just one quilt show. Alex's TV quilt show fills the gaps between local, state and international events. Why take her off the air??

I support this petition. Alex has the best quilt program on TV. Each episode is educational and to cancel it would be a great loss to the quilting world. If you must cancel a show it should be a decorating as watching paint dry is not very interesting. There are so many dumb programs on the air now why should we have to lose something that makes sense. Remove some of those. HGTV programming used to be very good but now I am definately losing interest in watch-ing your station. Please keep Alex on.

I tape this show every day and just bought a dvd recorder just so I could save the lessons being taught. DIY is not offered in my area and this is my only way of learning. Please don't let HGTV just become Style or House Beautiful.

I never miss my Simply Quilts, I learned most I know about quilting from Alex Anderson. I spend a lot of money on books and fabric, because she inspired me on her show. There is not much on TV about quilting. I like HGTV and DIY because Simply Quilts and Sew Much More is on.This show is my only link to what is new and going on in the Quilting world. Take this shows away, would be a great loss. Like being cut off from my favored world.
