I support this petition. This is one of the better shows for HGTV. It would be a bad decision to remove it from your programming lineup. There are other, longer running shows that I no longer watch because they have become boring and predictable. This show is a gem and so beneficial to beginning or experienced quilters.

I support this petition, especially because I am homebound and I watch Alex @ 8:30 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m. on DIY. I tape her so I can get my Alex 'fix' during the weekend. There are hardly any quilting programs to speak of in my area and this is part of my lifeline to the outside world. Please, please don't cancel Simply Quilts. Thank you.
I support this petition. We quilters and sewists have very few programs to inspire us. Alex's shows have done that and the new episodes at 8:30 EST keep us on the cutting-edge of exciting new trends. My satellite is tuned to come in each day with her show, and remains on HGTV for most of the remainder of the day. If her show is removed, then my HGTV viewing may be very limited or non-existent. (This could be the "nail in the coffin" for my HGTV viewing since I was also disappointed when you removed Sandra Betzina.) Thank you for considering the requests of your viewers.

Thanks to the shows' instructional/educational nature, my quilting has come along far faster than I could have imagined when I started out a year and a half ago. My quilts are square, my points point and my imagination soars as I start my day with her show. I've heard about so many new products because of her guests and the advertising as well....I even bought a longarm. To be honest, it's the only show on HGTV that I watch. What a loss.

Alex Anderson is a good teacher and a wonderful hostess who has contributed a great deal to the quilting world. To cancel her show now would be a disservice to all those who enjoy her and benefit from her gifts.

As President of Gulf States Quilting Association, I am appauld at the decision to cancel Simply Quilts, not only from the viewer's standpoint, but also as a business decision on the part of HGTV. Remember what happened when CocaCola changed their formula?
How many more home improvement and gardening shows can we stand? We need more quilting and sewing shows, not less.

She gained many devoted fans at our event and will be greatly missed if HGTV does not renew her show. I am very disappointed!
