I support this petition. SQ has been part of my day for years, providing inspiration and a shared comaraderie with quilters around the world. Alex is a great host and should remain on HGTV. Quilters want to continue to meet and learn from new quilters to promote our art and craft.
I support this petition. This show is a way to keep the volumes of quilters coast to coast up on the latest trends and techniques. The needlework tradition is as much or more a home and garden traditional theme than another way to paint a wall or shop in a store to buy an accessory. I would hope you would re-consider your decision to cancel Simply Quilts.
I support this petition. When you cancel programs like Simply Quilts, you leave me with no reason to watch HGTV. I don't care about shows that tell me how to redecorate a million dollar loft in NYC. I live in the real world.
I support this petition.I am a relativily new quilter and I watch the show almost everyday. There isn't any other show that I follow that closley. We need a qulatily Quilt Show. There are so many things still to learn and demosntrate in quilting including the vast compicated world of sewing machines these days. Even though Bernina is a major sponsor I would love more info and demonstrations on their and Pfaff machines. As another said, we have disposable income and use it on this rewarding and creative hobby! Please reconsider your decision.

I support this petition. Quality educational shows are needed in the vast wasteland of TV today. It seems that women are turning to quilting and other home decorating sewing skills to enrich their creative lives. Why stop producing a show that allows us to learn more of what is able to be done?

I support this petition. Simply Quilts is the most fun, educational show about quilting on the air. I think HGTV would be making a huge mistake if they take it off the air. Quilters spend billions (yes, billions) of dollars each year on quilting supplies, books, patterns and fabrics. We need more quilting shows on TV, not less. Our local PBS station picks up only so many segments of quilting shows and then drops them in favor of something else. Please do not deprive us of this show.

I support this petition - I am so tired of TV garbage and it is refreshing to see something new and motivational. Keep in mind that the quilting industry is a large one with disposable income - can you afford to lose that many supporters? If the show isn't doing that great - change the host, revamp it or something, but don't do away with it. Personally I think there are too many decorating and gardening shows on HGTV - so instead of canceling one of the few quilting shows I think you should add more.

It is a shame that there will no longer be any new shows on Simply Quilts as there is so much new information and techniques in the quilting world, reruns are just not enough. You have more than enough home decorating shows, don't cut off the quilting world as we are just as important and certainly a lot more creative!! JB

I support this petition. We need more new programming for quilting and sewing. These artforms preserve our past and provides continuing support for ongoing traditions of art and textiles. How about more...not less...such as Quilt In a Day with Eleanor Burns, Fons and Porter...and how about weekend programming of same. Home decorating makeovers are not very successfull without the talents provided by those who sew and quilt!
I support this petition. I can't believe the HGTV could even concieve of cancelling this show. Sounds like the powers to be haven't really thought this through. They need to see the number of quilters that come to Houston every October and I am sure they would reconsider. We are the largest convention to be hosted there. You need to re-think this.

I support this petition. I record every episode of Simply Quilts and watch the program after work. I've purchased products based upon Alex's guests. Alex's program is the best quilting program on TV today. She has something to appeal to people of all ages. I'm surprised HGTV wouldn't want to keep a program that is clean, instructive and has such a large following on the air.
Please reconsider your decision. Do not cancel Simply Quilts. I watch it every morning and discuss it with friends when we walk together. The guests are inspiring and Alex has helped me find and master new techniques. I would like more quilting shows not less.

I support this petition. Before I got my Digital Video Recorder I was only able to watch Simply Quilts when I was sick. Now that I can record the show to watch later you are taking it off the air. So sad.
I support this petition. I can't imagine what you plan to replace Simply Quilts with...another decorating show? There won't be a reason for me to tune in to HGTV anymore. This is a quality show with timeless appeal. The people at HGTV need to do their research instead of just going with the "in" trends in broadcasting.
