I STRONGLY support this petition. Simply Quilts is the only program on HGTV that catches my creative interest. There are no other shows that compare AT ALL to SQ. Simply Quilts was on reason that we purchased TIVO!! I didn't want to miss ANY episode.

I have 30+ years of quilting experience and still learn something new by watching Simply Quilts
I do longarm quilting, teach quilting, design my own patterns, and have had several best of show quilts. You can
never learn enough, and Alex Anderson brings so many new ideas and methods
to us through her show. This show must continue. This is an educational experience and if cancelled, we have virtually no
other shows to provide us with the quilting information to better our skills and our lives.

There are way too many home improvement shows, remodeling,etc. We are real people on modest incomes who enjoy quilting as a hobby and who don't always have a quilt shop nearby so we learn from HGTV. Not most folks. We have already seen the demise of Modern Masters. What will be next? There are too few programs for crafters already.

Quilters are from all ages (I'm presently teaching my 7 year old granddaughter how to quilt) and from all walks of life and most either tape or watch Alex's show each day. Shame on HGTV for trying to have shows for just 35-45 year olds. They are the ones who must tape it because they all work out of the home. What do you offer for all of us retirees?
I support this petition. This program has been my inspiration to begin quilting and is the best quilting show on TV. If you need to "get rid of" something in your lineup, consider dropping the new "Crafters Coast to Coast" which insults my intelligence - I watch crafting shows to learn something, not to see people being silly for the sake of being on TV. In fact, you should consider putting Alex Anderson's Simply Quilts on twice each day, as you have done in the past. Each of her shows is informative and shows quilters tips and techniques they might not be able to see anywhere else. Most quilters don't have access to the top-of-the line quilt teachers and designers except for a quality program like this.

I support this petition. Simply Quilts is the show that introduced me to the HGTV network. As a result of watching my favorite quilting program, I also find myself watching other programming on your network, such as home decorating or crafting shows. If HGTV decides to ignore the skills and interests of so many of their viewers, then, perhaps, the network has lost touch with its viewership. Canceling new episodes of Simply Quilts, simply put, is a slap in the face to quilters and fiber artists everywhere, and will most certainly result is a loss of viewers. If you do not air new episodes of this much loved show, then I, for one, will no longer watch your network's shows.
Please reconsider this decision and allow Alex Anderson the opportunity to teach and nurture a new generation of quilters!
