Among the few quality shows on TV, Simply Quilts is at the top of the list. Alex Anderson is a master at promoting the art of quilting. I have learned so much from her and her guests. How sad that the "powers that be" continue to try to eliminate the arts from our lifestyle. I am willing to bet that, if this were a football program, the networks would fall all over themselves to keep it on the air.
HGTV needs to reconsider their decision to eliminate one of the best produced and most informative programs that they have on their network and continue with new episodes of Alex Anderson and her great and informative show, Simply Quilts.

There are no other quilting shows on HGTV. In my area of the country, its the only show really specializing in quilting. I tape it because I cannot watch it during the day.
Why do you have so many episodes of House Hunting on? That is the worst show but I'm sure very cheap.
Also, we can only decorate so many ways. I want my Simply Quilts!

Simply Quilts is the best show you air. We do not have enough shows on quilting and sewing. I am amazed that you are deciding to stop having new episodes of this show. I have 50 women in my quilting group that regularly watch this show daily and we will all be extremely disappointed about this. I am getting rather sick of the remodeling shows You have way to many! How about discontinuing one of those. Alex Anderson is an excellent teacher and had great ideas. I am surprised that HGTV has decided to ignore the interests of so many of its viewers. Please hear our requests.
We would love to have a Long Arm quilting show as well. You will have our devoted viewing if you continue with these interesting programs.

there is a whole industry associated with quilting and quilters. what people see on SIMPLY QUILTS spurs them on to make more quilts and buy more fabrics. there are many websites for purchasing fabric or patterns . Checkers whse has part of their website dedicated to showing what was on simply quilts today so that when our customers call and say 'I want what alex had today' we can find out what it was and order it for them. do you have any idea how many quilters there are out here? don't feel bad if you don't know, other people have been shocked and surprised by out quantity. please stop and think about this.
I support this petition.i watch it every day and if not watching i tape it. i think you will be making a big mistake by taking it off and only showing reruns. she is our teacher for us that live in small rural towns and dont have access to the big teachers like her. PLEASE PLEASE leave the show as is. you will be taking many womens teacher from them.

I support this petition because I cannot imagine not having this program available, as it bring so much pleasure to so many people. Think of the elderly who are unable to do much gadding about to attend shows, guild meetings, etc. It's a spark of joy for those whose mobility is limited, as well as for MANY others.

I have used the HGTV website many times to get more information or clarify things I missed. It is a very valuable resource to lots of quilters.

I support this petition. As a matter of fact, you would probably get even more viewership if you had the program on in the late afternoon or early evening also. So many of us quilters work, and we have to tape it or Tivo it. Please keep Simply Quilts and Alex in your schedule!
I STRONGLY support this petition. I have been sewing/quilting since I was 8 with my mother. SQ has been a great inspiration of new ideas and I would like to see HGTV add new quilting programming in order to help preserve our craft. Young quilters also depend on this program for inspiration and instruction. Alex is a great teacher and personality.

If you need to free up some time I vote for getting rid of the hokey "Crafters Coast to Coast". The crafts may be interesting but the stupid way the participants are encouraged to act causes me to switch this dud off as quickly as possible.
