This program is the only reason I have a dish service. If it goes off, so does my satellite service. It is the best quilting program on the air. I have no interest in decorating or remodeling and little interest in crafts in general.

Without this show I would have never started watching this channel. Maybe you should consider a different time slot for this very important and well loved Simply Quilts show.

I was really upset when you discontinued Sandra Betzina's show and now you want to take away Simply Quilts. Not all of us care to watch the "renamed" fixer-upper shows.

I support this petition. Nearly 90% of my quilting purchases such as books, fabric, classes, tools are as a direct result of watching Simply Quilts for the past two years. I am a high school teacher and I tape Alex's shows religiously and watch them on the weekend as my treat. I cannot imagine not having this source of education, relaxation and motivation for my artistic side. I do tape several other shows that air weekly, not daily, and none compare to her program. Please reconsider your decision as I believe this will have an impact on HGTV. I for one plan a vigorous campaign to keep Alex on the air in the Long Island, New York area. I will gain support from my guild members and the members of the 4 quilt shops I frequent weekly.

I support this petition. Not everyone has the capability to attend quilting classes from these teachers and this gives us a look at their award winning techniques. I tivo two programs a day, watch them both and save the ones with techniques I want to try. Every quilter I know watches Simply Quilts. Someone at HGTV needs to do a little research on the economic impact of the millions of quilters that view this program. Since it is dollars that drive programming, I would think that the show's advertisers would also be interested in that information. As a group we have billions in disposable income, which we like to spend on this creative and consuming hobby/passion/addiction.
