I learn something new everytime I watch Simply Quilts. I record many of the shows to watch again. The sponsors offer new sewing products that I often purchase. Please don't cancel this program I and every quilter I know look forward to this show.
I support this petition. Every day I tape Simply Quilts so I can watch it again and again. And then I stay on that channel, and watch other shows on HGTV which I enjoy very much!
I support this petition. Obviously you have no idea how many quilters there are and the power of our pocket books. You are alienating a large segment of the population who will no longer watch HGTV or support your sponsors.
Please do not cancel Simply Quilts. I have learned so much from this show and have been inspired by it. No matter what a quilters skill level is, they are always starved for new ideas and tecniques. Alex Anderson may not know me but she has become a dear friend to me.
If HGTV wants me watching, then they have to keep Simply Quilts. It's why I turn the tv on at all during the day. Without it, I won't be watching Room by Room or seeing the ads for the other shows that I try to watch.
It's also the reason why I go to the store to look for a specialty ruler or a different type of pins etc.
Simply Quilts means more viewers of HGTV shows and more sales for the sponsors. It works!! And messing with it is a HUUUUUUUGGGE mistake.

This is the ONLY QUILT SHOW on TV in our area. Our community of quilters support this show. The learning of new techniques learned on Simlpy Quilts helps people all over the world. These women and men help by using these techniques to make quilts and blankets then donating them to Linus Project, Katrina victims,and their local hospitals. I don't think any of your other shows can make such a boast.
This program is heads and tails above all other quilting related programs on television. I have learned so much from Alex about my passion, quilting. I schedule my day around the broadcast of her program. Quilting is not for little old ladies any more. Women of all ages, all incomes and both rural and urban have found quilting as an art form that they enjoy. We spend millionns of dollars each year on supplies, books and fabric. Please continue to develop new program for Simply Quilts to satisfy our need to continue to grow as artists.

Quiltmaking is a very important art and part of the history of modern culture. Please do not cancel Simply Quilts. You would do well to expand the scheduling and format, injecting some new ideas, settings and teaching venues. The current schedule is suicidal, not consistent to attracting a wide range of viewers.
HGTV can play an important part in promoting the art and further development of quilting, if it chooses. The community of quilters, 20 million strong, would support you.
HGTV offers crafters many different avenues to express their talents. Please do not take away the ONLY QUILT SHOW that is offered to many of us quilters in the US. If funding is a true issue, then the quilters need to know this too!! We are the ones who have grown this industry single handedly since the re-birth of Quilting in the 70's!

Quilting isn't just sewing quilts or blankets. Quilters make pillows, wallhangings, purses, checkbook covers, drink koozies, book and bible covers, make-up holders and much more. Quilting and crafting go hand in hand. Quilts decorate the home. I cannot imagine HGTV without Alex Anderson.

I support this petition. There has been a surge in quilting over the last 15 years or so. I find it much easier to find quilting sections in fabric stores and even stores like walmart than when I started quilting. That indicates a large enough market to support stocking the items that we ask for. We spend lots of money on fabric and quilting gadgets. We need more shows rather than discontinuing one of the few available.

Please continue to broadcast new episodes of this program. For many quilters who are unable to attend a quilt guild meeting, take classes at the local quilt shop (if there is one) or quilt with a group of friends on a regular basis - Alex is their link to the quilting world. Please reconsider your decision. I watch the clock every morning for Simply Quilts. That's when the TV and HGTV are turned on. I upgraded my cable TV tier specifically to get "Simply Quilts" on HGTV.
I support this petition. I don't even live in the US. Sometimes my US friends send tapes of Simply Quilts over to Scotland, and it's such a joy to be able to watch someone teaching a new technique. Please don't cancel the show.

I support this petition. So much of what I have learned about quilting was through Simply Quilts and
Alex and her guests. Her show is one of the only reasons we get cable tv. We usually turn on HGTV to watch Simply Quilts in the morning and often just leave it on HGTV for the rest of the day. If Alex is gone, we will no longer have a reason to turn it to HGTV.

We spend a great deal of money in the consumer industry, buying this gadget and that gizmo. Alex promotes each and every one of those marvelous inventions on her program just by using them and supporting her guests' use of them. She is a great inspiration herself, let alone the countless other men and women Alex has on the show, who teach and share so much. I support this petition. Quilting has a great history in this country, and a resugence in the past few years could be directly related to Simply Quilts. Other quilting shows pale by comparison. Hundreds of men and women who watch Simply Quilts were instrumental in providing quilts to Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita victims, thanks to knowledge gained through watching Simply Quilts. I realize re-runs save HGTV money, but there are enough other re-runs. We want new episodes of Simply Quilts.
