I support this petition. Please do not discontinue this show. It has helped me tremendously in learning how to quilt. I have every show on tape so that I can refer back to it when I need to. There are more and more people getting into quilting I can't believe you don't see the usefulness in this show.
I support this petition. Quilting is an art that has age-old roots and history that a program such as 'Simply Quilts' helps to pass on to future generations as well as teaching present quilters new techniques. We need that continuity in our lives.
I support this petition. With quilting one of the most popular crafts in the country and home made quilts used in the decorating of homes, it is unfathomable why you do not chose to cover this important segment of the population.
First of all, I impore you to keep Simply Quilts on the air. I record them on my Tivo so my sister & I can watch them when we get together. We live 2 hours apart and have recently both become quilters, primarily through the influence of Alex and her wonderful show. She covers every topic I need to see AND even brings up subjects that I'd never consider. She is both personable and informative.
I also have to say I agree with Lisa Smith - I also miss Sandra Betzina and do not really care for Susan Khalje.
Please do not make another mistake.

I strongly support this petition! I watch Simply Quilts every morning and appreciate how the format reflects CURRENT trends in quilting. If HGTV only shows reruns the contemporary nature of this program wil be lost. Please reconsider!
I support this petition. Simply Quilts in a quality show that not only inspires, but educates. If you need to cut budget corners, eliminate something else. Simply Quilts is unique to your line-up. Without Simply Quilts, I will not find reasons to watch HGTV.

It is for some reason the only show we get in this area that deals with quilting and truly the main reason I watch HGTV. Leave this program alone. Millions of people watch and tape religiously. It's a teaching tool for the millions of quilters in this country and around the world. Quilting is a multimillion dollar business and you're insane to cancel. Quilters support the fabric stores, and machine and appliance sales via their hobby or the business of quilting. Do you understand. What I'm saying is that you are loosing money, the station is loosing money by cancelling this show!! So don't do it!!!! Alex doesn't curse, spit, harm anybody, break any laws with her show! What do you propose to put in it's stead?????? You know what- - - - I don't even care!
I strenuously support this show. Go cancel Monday night football, or Nip Tuck, or something but leave Alex and Simply Quilts alone.

I support this petition. I was dismayed when Sandra Betzina's Sew Simple was cancelled. (I never have liked Sew Much More with Susan Khalje as she does not cover techniques in an instructional manner.) Now, I'm heartbroken that I'll no longer have Alex Anderson. Both of these women have taught me most of what I know about sewing/quilting. Without shows such as these, classic arts are going to be lost. With today's modern communications, learning through tv is not only convenient but very informative. I will certainly not be watching HGTV or DIY if they don't carry the shows that are important to me.
I support this petition. Simply Quilts is now the only quilting show in my viewing area that is on regularly. PBS seems to be eliminating quilting from its lineup on a regular basis and that combined with this idea is very disappointing.

Please rethink your decision to remove the program from the HGTV program lineup. The main reason for having HGTV is being able to view Simply Quilts.

I support this petition. I am a new quilter and Ms Anderson has taught me and inspired me. In October of 2005 I finished my first quitl. A queen size that I saw on her show. It is beautiful and no one believes it is my first quilt. I am up at 6:30 AM just to watch her show. I live and hour away from the closest place to get lessons. So Simply quilts has been my teacher. Plesae do not take Simply Quilts off the air.

I support this petition. I learned to quilt watching this show and never miss an episode. This is the only show oh HGTV that I watch. The quilting community needs more shows like this one. Alex Anderson does a terrific job and her show should remain a part of the HGTV programing with new episodes. My quilting groups and guilds will be missing a wonderful show.

Please reconsider your decision to cancel Simply Quilts. I plan the purchases for my quilt shop by the presenters she has on her program. I can always tell what was on her program by the items my clients purchase. She is highly respected in the quilting ocmmunity. I cannot understand why you would cancel such a popular program.
