I get ready for work early so I can watch Simply Quilts before I leave the house. I have started watching Room by Room because it comes on right before Simply Quilts. I wouldn't watch HGTV at all if it weren't for my favorite show and Alex Anderson. She is know all through the quilting society.

Since I started quilting a few years ago, this is the only show that has stayed on T.V. consistently. Others seem to come and go rather quickly. It is also one of the best there is. Quilting is one of the fastest growing in-door hobbies, why would you want to remove it from view? If you remove it from HGTV, there would be no reason to turn it on. Please keep this show on HGTV. I make it a point to get up early (5:30 AM pacific time) to watch this educational and recreational show. I have learned so much about quilting and would hate to not have this valuable tool as a resource! Some may think this show a waste of time, but for quilters, it is not!

I have been watching Simply Quilts for years, even when it came on at 6:30am on weekends. The show was my primary teacher when I first began quilting and did not know any other quilters. I am very saddened to hear that no new episodes will be aired. I have been watching it for so long and although I do not mind reruns now and then, I do not care to only see reruns over and over again. There is no other quilting show on HGTV, but tons of home improvement shows - which I care nothing about. Actually Simply Quilts was about the only show I cared to watch, and would sometimes watch the Carol Duval show just because it came on after SQ. How many home decorating and improvement shows do we need???? HGTV is becoming one long home improvement/decorating show. Give us quilters a break here - we pay our subscription fee just like everyone else!!!

I support this petition. With the worldwide popularity of quilting, I don't understand this cancellation. The quilt convention in Houston, Tx. is the largest convention for Houston each year. Houston has many conventions but the Quilt Festival surpasses all of them in attendance. This emphasizes the interest in quilting. Simply Quilts is pretty much the only show I watch on HGTV.
