I support this petition. Please don't take it off the air. It helps improve your quilting skills and makes you try new techniques you wouldn't do ordinarily. I even tape shows for books that I have purchased that the instructions just misified me. Seeing it live you think Duh I should have been able to figure that out.

I support this petition. I was so excited when I found out HGTV had been added to my cable network, as I wanted specifically to watch Simply Quilts. I tape the show every day and watch when I get home from work. I've learned many new techniques and am constantly going to the HGTV website to print out what was new on Simply Quilts that day. I am disabled after working for 37 years, so now I need something to fill my time, plus something that will generate a little income. When I found Simply Quilts, I felt it was a God send for me. Quilts are loved by everyone, and through Simply Quilts, I have been able to learn how to make quilts, plus keep inspired by watching the show. Please don't take this show off. I am sure there are many other disabled people who feel as I do. Simply Quilts and Carol Duvall are the two shows on HGTV that make life less dreary for me, and give me something to make that will fill the many empty hours. I watch this program every morning at 8:30 before heading off to work at a local quilt shop. You (HGTV) would be overwhelmed by the number of customers that come into our shop on a daily basis and talk about what they learned from Alex Anderson and her guest that morning on Simply Quilts. You have a HUGE audience following with Simply Quilts. And that audience deserves to view new programming presenting new and exciting techniques in the quilting world. There are several other qulting programs available through PBS, but they are not available at every market nationwide. Not all PBS stations pick up every quilt show. Don't get me wrong, PBS is wonderful. But, you have a nationwide market with HGTV and Simply Quilts. I love to view HGTV, but I feel you are doing your "Quilting Audience" a great disservice by discontinuing new episodes of Simply Quilts. PLEASE reconsider your decision. KEEP SIMPLY QUILTS!!!!

Alex is the ONLY reason I ever felt that I would have enough confidence to ever try quilting. By watching her programs, I learned to look at a quilt piece by piece, not the whole entire project as totally unapprocable.

I appreciate that she has such a broad variety of guests, people of many different colors and cultures, men, women, boys and girls.
