I support this petition because I am a quilter and I beleive that this American legacy must be passed on to the next generation. Television is the medium of the millenium and future generations are future consumers. You can only see so many rooms and yards and houses redone before HGTV becomes boring. Give us something to stir our inner creativity.

I can not believe you are even considering non-renewing SIMPLY QUILTS. Your current program schedule is so bad I have to wonder who is doing the scheduling--the constant repeats of those low-production value Canadian decorating shows and the back-to-back Carol Duval shows are beginning to bore me. The only ray of sunshine has been Simply Quilts (even in that early morning slot. I support this petition.

I support this petition. I can't believe it. Why would you remove one of the most popular shows in the quilting world. Do you realize the revenue that results from this show? It is not just the fabric and patterns purchased as we all dream to achieve one what we have just watched; it is the hotels, restaurants, gas, chocolate, etc. purchased as we travel from quilt shop to quilt shop; museums, and quilt shows - close to home and in other parts of the country. Because of this show many of us look in the yellow pages for a quilt shop when we are vacationing around the U.S. Being good enough to be on this show is on my list of things to do before I take my UFO's to heaven - surely there I will have enough time, great light, and fabulous company as I try to finish all my projects. I support this petition and I will boycott HGTV if you take Simply Quilts off the air. It's your only worthwhile program. You have silly shows aired over and over ad nauseum and a quality show like Simply Quilts you put on at 8:30!! am est and wonder why it's not working out for you. Just consider. There are millions of quilters out there. If we all boycott your network, this could have a great impact on your future. Also consider, we quilters group online and in guilds. We network. If a boycott is called, it will work.

I support this petition. Alex Anderson's "Simply Quilts" is the only quilt show available to me on my cable TV. Her program is the one that got me back making quilts after more than 20 years. I have watched reruns of her show over and over both on HGTV and DIY. I just became a Grandmother for the first time and am eager to relearn some of the techniques I have forgotten during the years I did not quilt. Please, Please, Please, DO NOT TAKE THIS WONDERFUL SHOW OFF!!! It has saved me many days from wandering around my house doing nothing.
Maybe if you advertised "Simply Quilts" as much as you advertise "The Carol Duvall Show" and other shows you would get a bigger following. I never see any promos for "Simply Quilts".
I support this petition. As a cutting edge baby boomer, born 5/22/46, trends have seemed to always follow what my interests are. I am a new quilter and won a blue ribbon at the State Fair this year. I daily watch or Tivo this show and would be very dissappointed not to see new episodes.

I support this petition. I don't understand. Is the show too helpful, too informative, too well done? All quilters enjoy this show because Alex showcases all kinds of quilting and quilting methods. To cancel it is very short-sighted. Please reconsider.
I support this petition because cacelling this show would be simply stupid. I am fairly new to quilting and am trying to learn everything I can through my sister and the Simply Quilts show. My sister and I got in the habit of watching Alex last spring and summer, while my father was sick and dying in the hospital. Since then we have watched recorded episode after episode together, and we're fascinated by the scope of quilting presented on the show and Alex's obvious enthusiasm and expertise. Her advice to quilters on all levels is excellent, and I recently bought her "Beginner" book for a friend of mine who would like to learn. I would love to see Alex continue with Simply Quilts. I can't imagine ever getting enough of that show!
