I support this petition. I am inspired daily by Simply Quilts and the reason that I have satellite service. There aren't many shows that cater to the sewist crowd-HGTV needs more than just decorating and landscaping.

I support this petition. Please do not cancel the only quilt show on your network. You have many decorating programs. If you must cancel something, pick one of them. I have learned so many new techniques watching Alex Anderson and her guests and plan to have my breakfast each morning when it airs at 8:30am.

I watch Simply Quilts twice a day, once on HGTV and once on DIY. Once at HGTV, I usually watch another program or two after Simply Quilts, and perhaps the one before it as well. Remove Simply Quilts and you lose me for 4 or 5 programs a day. I would like to see Quilting and crafting shows on late at night when the crafters and quilters are working on their projects. I would even watch reruns just to watch quilting while I am quilting. I have learned so much from Alex Anderson and her guests. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS WONDERFUL PROGRAM.

I support this petition. Please do not cancel Simply Quilts. Many of the other shows on HGTV have gotten stale over a couple of seasons, but SQ is not one. She has an enormous variety of guests, topics, and fun ideas. Please reconsider this decision and order more Simply Quilt episodes.
I have heard that HGTV is canceling any new shows and possibly existing shows of Simply Quilts. I hope that is a rumor. That would be a serious thing for me as the producer of, among other events, a Quilt Expo. My advertising for ten days prior to this event is clustered around this show. I get excellent results as I know that most quilters watch this program. I’m sure you are aware of the size of the industry according to the “2000 Quilting in America survey. The quilting community is huge and the economics are staggering. As a group quilters have a better than average discretionary income to spend on advertiser's products. Perhaps the possible cancellation is due to not enough people letting you know how popular and important that show has become. I know that the quilter in my house switces off the “Today Show” when simply Quilts comes on. I don’t believe there is another program such as Simply Quilts on any competing network.
I support this petition. My morning routine consists of watching Simply Quilts every day. It is my favorite show on HGTV. The popularity of quilting has really taken off in the last 5 years and many new techniques are being developed all the time. New quilt shops are opening up every week. PBS does pledge specials on quilting. Why would HGTV want to discontinue a show on such a popular topic?!

I support this petition. By having programs such as this, we can continue to keep sewing, quilting, and other crafts going. High schools don't offer Home Ec courses and our young people aren't learning to sew or quilt at school. We need more quilting programs!
I have started my day with Simply Quilts for 9 1/2 years. If it's not on live, I watch a tape. It is my inspiration and my connection to the big wide world of quilts, both traditional and innovative. I think there is enough content out there to support it indefinitely. If it works, don't fix it!

I support this petition. I watched Simply Quilts for about a year before I took the plunge and created my first quilt. SQ is not just for quilters but for crafters too. I need very visual instruction to learn new Quilting techniques and Alex Anderson fits the bill for me. It is a disturbing trend to cancel both Carol Duvall and Alex Anderson. Shame! We need quality craft instruction.

I support this petition. This is an educational show. As a teacher, quilting helps with math, art, shistory and science. There is a lot of information that is conveyed through quilting. Losing this show will be losing a part of our hertiage.
