I have learned so many skills from Alex and purchased a lot of the books she suggests. There are so many of us out there and we spend a lot of money on Quilting products.I could write a much longer note.
I support this petition.This is one of the most interesting programs on daytime television. Are you aware that quilters spend millions of dollars every year? We are a huge force of money spending, intelligent people who will be very disappointed if this show is cancelled. I'd be interested to know what the reason is for such a decision and if any market research was actually done to justify it. This is quality television! PLEASE DON'T TAKE IT OFF THE AIR!

Alex Anderson brings things to quilters that we can not find in books. Her lessons are easy to follow and worth watching. She teaches more than quilting, she teaches concepts of color, design and new thoughts.
Alex Anderson is without a doubt one of the best educators in the country. The quilting industry is fortunate that she chose quilting as her subject matter, and her professional production and high-quality guests continue to inspire quilters, both new and experienced. HGTV should reconsider their decision and keep SIMPLY QUILTS within the family of programming they offer. I love this show!

As a quilt teacher, I am appalled that HGTV would cancel this program ... Alex Anderson should start her own on PBS ... HGTV seems to have lost touch with the majority of the public ... we are NOT all 20 or 30 years old and wanting to design our apartments over and over and over ... get with what has lasted throughout our history ... quilts. It is an industry that is booming. They need to add several more quilting shows instead of taking off the only one. Shame on you, HGTV

Outside of Public Television, which has dropped most of its crafts shows, there is no place on TV where quilters can find information, guidance & great tips!
