I have been quilting for the past five years and have done some very difficult items....thanks to many of the hints and show & tell done on this show. I watch it every episode. I also watched it twice a day when it was shown in this area in the AM & PM.

My HGTV starts with Simply quilts. From there it just runs from program to program. I would not have learned to quilt without this show. I never could have afforded all these quilt lessons. From learning to first cut my pieces, all about color, correct sizing, etc, all the way up to I own a long arm machine now. Please tell us what we as consumers can do to insure the program continues. We are a passionate group and very dedicated. We are also a large consumer group. What can we do, as a consumer group to have the show re-instated?

Simply Quilts got me started quilting. We use the teachers she has on her show. I begin my day with Simply Quilts but if you take it off the air, I have no reason to tune to the HGTV channel except on rare occations. There are other channels with quilt shows while not as good as Alex's, I will watch. You will lose a long-time watcher of HGTV!!!!
The Simply Quilts program is a unique offering in the quilt world in that it covers topics for the Novice and the Experienced Quilter, the Traditional and the Art Quilter. Loosing this program would be a real loss of idea sharing and inspiration. Simply Quilts got me to look at other HGTV programming, so there is a positive spill-over effect of having it as part of the line up. And we have good memories, just re-airing the existing episodes will not suffice.
Are you crazy? My day would not be the same if I couldn't relax and visit with Alex and have my coffee. I get so many ideas and great tips from the program. Please reconsider before you make a tragic mistake.

I could not get enough of Simply Quilts on HGTV, so that is the ONLY reason I upgraded my satellite package to include DIY as well! Re-runs are even worth watching again and again. PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR DECISION!! Simply Quilts is the only show I care to watch on HGTV or DIY anymore!!
