I support this petition. I am seeing a trend of HGTV ~ new, sloppy and tasteless decorating. Simply Quilts included my generation. Please do not take it off the air. The younger generation still needs to know how to make a pie crust and a well done quilt block.

I don't know who is in charge of progamming at HGTV these days, but they seem to be cancelling all the good shows and replacing them with shows put on by some very talentless hosts. I support this petition. It seems that HGTV shows to much interior decorating and not enough of items that crafters have made. Quilting is more than a craft it is a art, handed down my our ancestors. With their knowledge being given to us we are unable to carrying on the things that help hold our homes together. Quilting is a income for some of us. Simply Quilts is the reason I began watching HGTV so many years ago. I record the HGTV & DIY episodes regularly. I can't think what possessed you to think the premiere quilting show on tv (cable or PBS) was't worth bringing back to so very many loyal watchers. SHAME on HGTV. Whatever the reason, you've lost a great deal of respect & viewers.
I support this petition. WHO and on WHAT BASIS made the decision to cancel Simply Quilts? Betsy Ross would go straight to that person and say very plainly: You ought to be ashamed! Have some guts, and put the show on the air! Thousands and thousands of viewers have been blessed and that should be a sufficient reason, even if you have disregarded the multimillion dollar fabric and quilting industry that is being supported by quilters around the world.

Alex appeals to both beginning and advanced quilters, has great guest artists and the HGTV website with instructions and pictures that we can print out is invaluable. I support this petition. I own a quilt shop and we have people come in all the time asking for items they have seen on Simply Quilts. This is an industry that has to keep going - our children are losing the ability to learn age old crafts.
