I support this petition. This is the only show on HGTV that I tape on a regular basis. I began watching Simply Quilts when I started quilting 3 years ago and rarely miss it. I continue to learn new things even if I am watching an episode for the 3rd time. Please reconsider your decision to cancel this show since it is the ONLY show you have for quilters.

I support this petition.This is one of your better (and ONLY) programs for quilters. It gives us a break from the decorator /home shows that are constantly on. This show starts out my mornings on my days off and gets me in the mood to finish and start many quilting projects. Then I'll glance at the other shoes while I do these projects. I'll definitley probablt not watch as much HGTV if this program is cancelled so Please reconsider your programming decision.
Please reconsider your decision to cancel "Simply Quilts" in your show lineup. This is the best program for quilters available and there are millions of us across the country. The guest quilters and new information and techniques provided to quilters on this show is invaluable. Please continue carrying this program.

I can't believe you would even consider taking this show off the air! The Quilting World NEEDS shows like this to continue the art of quilting and to pass it onto the next generations!! I am in a quilting group of 50 members and that is A LOT of people supporting and watching HGTV!! So please RETHINK your idea before making such a drastic change in your programing or people will start changing to another channel for something else!!! Alex is a WONDERFUL TEACHER!!! Simply Quilts is a very popular program. I have learned so much from it, and look forward to the program. I schedule events around it if I can't tape it. Please reconsider cutting this program. It is very well done, and a high quality sewing program.

I live in a small town with limited sewing resources. This show provides a real lifeline to current quilting methods, personalities, and products, offering otherwise unavailable information. Its demise is a real betrayal to an army of loyal viewers. This show drew me to HGTV. Its demise will keep me away from it.

I support this petition. Sewing shows are slowly disappearing and this is a very good one. I see DIY having a large contingent of landscaping shows and getting rid of all but the scrapbooking shows. Please keep this one, I really watch DIY for this, sew much more, jewelry making, carol duval, and knitty gritty.

Simply quilts is a good show. Why don't you cancel the Crafter's Coast to Coast instead of the quilt show. I think the person(s)doing the Crafter's show must be either drunk or smoking something funny.

When you watch a program no matter how ill you feel or what more important thing occurs at the same time of this show and watch Simply Quilts and its reruns over and over again, it is not a program that needs to leave the air. I would understand that Alex may need a break and so there may be other reasons for cancelling the program. If this is the case, isn't it time to find a new personality to continue what in America is one of the oldest art and craft forms.

I support this petition. I eat breakfast every morning of the week with Alex and Simply Quilts. We, as quilters, need this show to keep abreast of new innovative products and techniques in the quilting world. Simply Quilts started me watching HGTV. Without it, I no longer have any use for the cable that brings me that show. Have you researched how many quilters attend INternational Quilt Festival in Houston and Chicago? How about the attendance of AQS quilt shows in Tennessee and Paducah, Ky.? Those are only a fraction of your viewing audience.
Please research further and reconsider your decision to cancel this show.
I am appaled that HGTV would even consider closing Simply Quilts! There are so few sewing shows on TV to encourage and support quilters and sewers alike, especially of the nature and quality of Simply Quilts.
I have gotten so bored with all the home remodeling and fix it shows that only seem to be cloning themselves every few weeks. Is this to be the fate of SQ's spot? If so, then my reason for cable my have just terminated.

I support this petition. HGTV is the first channel I hit when the TV is turned on. It is a refreshing break from all the drama, reality & violence of regular TV. I'm truly surprised that 'someone' at HGTV decided to drop Simply Quilts. I believe Simply Quilts is in the top 25% of all your programming for quality and content. Had it not been for SQ, I would never have started watching HGTV. Who at HGTV dropped the ball in the Sales/Marketing Department? I'd be very interested to hear what SQ sponsors have to say about this decision. I can't imagine what would be replacing this spot but, unless HGTV is making a major revamp of their programming, Simply Quilts will be a tough act to follow. I can assure you that my future viewing of HGTV will solely depend on whether you keep Simply Quilts. What is the point of looking forward to great programming only to have it cancelled and replaced with something mediocre?
