Although Simply Quilts might be "fraying around the edges" the Fiber Arts medium is expanding across the globe.
Could you have a revolving guest list rather than weighing "poor Alex" down with events?
There are accomplished Fiber Artists who supply GE, GM, Ford, BMW, & Michelin Corporations to name a few, with large fabric art pieces that coast thousandss of dollars.
Although you may be tired of "quilters" there are other advanced medium for fabric/fiber design.

I support this petition. This is a wonderful program and represents the best in quilting in the US. If you aren't aware, quilting is more than a $3 billion business in this country, and is an international interest.
I support this petition. This is the ONLY quilting programming on HGTV amongst multiples of everything else! I believe the fans for this show would increase if HGTV showed it mulitple times a day instead of putting it in the very early one time only AM time slot.
I support this petition. This program has helped me learn many facets of quilting that I might not have picked up. I record this program daily (I work) and watch it at night. I also take it with me in my RV. Please reconsider this decision and keep Simply Quilts on!
I am a quilt teacher and have recommended this show often to my students. Please rethink canceling this show. We quilters need this kind of program to keep us inspired. I begin my day with Alex Anderson on HGTV and it stays on HGTV throughout the day. Without her on the air I may not tune in at all.

I'm surprised that HGTV would even THINK about not wanting Alex to do MORE NEW SHOWS! Alex Anderson's Simply Quilts Show has been a "Must Watch" everyday for me for the past several years! The thought of HGTV just recycling old, previously aired shows, and not adding NEW Simply Quilts Show segments makes me think that HGTV no longer cares about their viewers! Maybe those young HGTV programing folks don't think we quilters should be taken seriously!

I support this petition. I was a self taught quilter until I started watching Simply Quilt. Now I am a quilt teacher and designer. Simply Quilts is the only reason I watch HGTV. When Carol Duval comes on I switch to another channel or turn it off.

I support this petition. My heart stopped. How could the powers that be make such a decision???? I love my quilting. I work full time and tape the show so I am able to view it in the evenings when I am home. I have learned so much from this show and I do not get any other quilt programs on any other cable or public channel in my area that can compare to Simply Quilts. The quality of the program is by far unmatched. It is worth the education alone to keep this program running on HGTV.

I subscribe to HGTV because of programs like Simply Quilts and would like to see more Quilting programs. If something needs to be cancelled why not pick from some of the USELESS decorating shows. I love this show and have learned most of my quilting techniques from watching Alex Anderson. Please keep the best the quilting show we have available to us. How can HGTV cancel this wonderful quilt show! Has ANYONE at HGTV done their RESEARCH into the Millions of dollars QUILTERS spend today? Has ANYONE at HGTV ever been to the Int'l Quilt Festival in Houston where in 4 days, 50,000 + quilters attend and SPEND BIG $$? Or Paducah, KY? or the many other quilt shows & events across the US? She (and all her quilting friends) would be heartbroken to see this show end. Even though I can't sew a button on, I enjoy watching as well. Please reconsider.

I support this petition. I cannot imagine HGTV without Simply Quilts, I would simply cancel cable. Quilting is tremendously popular and I never miss a show in the morning before I go to work. We are still upset with you for taking away Sandra Betzina. What's next???? I assume more decorating shows....they are nice too but how about some diversity? Please re-consider your decision. I support this petition. I am a quilter and am not able to attend my local guild meetings because of my health. This program is my only way of staying up to date with my quilting. I would LOVE to see Simply Quilts extend the hours on HGTV, but PLEASE don't remove the program!
