"Thank you for your e-mail concerning Simply Quilts. While it is correct that we will not be producing new episodes of Simply Quilts, the show will continue to run on HGTV at least through 2006. I urge HGTV to reexamine this position and not force their viewers to pay for premium cable channels to see this program.
I support this petition. Please remember that you have an audience that usually remains quiet, patronizes your sponsors, and pays their taxes. However, when you make the really poor decision to stop one of your best shows, I think it is time you hear us YELL. Please rethink this decision. In a world of "eat this bug for a dollar", please allow Alex Anderson to bring us the gentle art of quilting. Thank you for your consideration. Maureen Mangon
I don't understand why a program like this is being taken off the air - especially where quilting has such a following and there are so few programs like this currently on the air.
this is one of the most informative programs I have ever seen and I agree with everyone else about how valuable it has been to my learning to quilt.

There are so many programs about redesiging houses, gardening etc. and only 1 on quilting. Please be fair!! IT is a wonderful program

I support this petition. Being from a rural area, some of her guests have opened my eyes to new techniques and innovative ideas that I might not have had the opportunity to see elsewhere.
I am a quilt shop owner and look forward to Alex's show each day for ideas for classes and merchandise. I can't tell you the number of customers who frequent my shop and mention having watched the show that morning. Though I'm not able to watch I try to tape and watch later - if HGTV doesn't bring it back hopefully another channel will pick it up and we can support them and their commitment to fabric arts! More sewing and quilting shows and less artsy fartsy craft shows.
