I really support the petition to keep Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson on TV or some similar format of a quilt show. Quilting is growing everywhere especially with Alex's help.
I support this petition. Simply Quits is very educational for me and my husband even watches it with me. I have learned a lot about quilting that has helped me make quilts. I even watch some shows the second time to be sure I have not missed anything.
I support this petition. This is how I start my mornings. This program has kept quilt shops open...people run to their quilts shops to purchase items seen on the program. They have helped Project Linus with intrest from their viewers. We need simply quilts. Please reconsider!!!
This is the best program on TV related to quilting and all of us quilters watch and refer to this show.HGTV has way too many shows about decorating and very little about the exploding interest in arts and crafts.We want more,not less,of such shows.
I support this petition. This represents the loss of the second outstanding television series on quilt making in less than three years. We can't let this one disappear too! HGTV, we want this program! Your Program Director needs to take notice of the Great American Quilt Revival documentary that just won Viewer's Choice at the Ashville North Carolina International Film Festival; the thousands upon thousands of quilts that American women have donated to the needy and victims of war and natural disaster for generations -- over 30,000 quilts donated to Katrina victims alone and still rolling in; the attendance records that quilt exhibits continue to break at major museums; the on-going strength and growth of the American Quilt Study Group – now with associated regional study groups all over the country; the opening of The Quilters Hall of Fame in Indiana in 2004 that quilters around the USA made possible; the establishment of the International Quilt Study Center in Lincoln, NE; etc, etc. The list of what American quilters have accomplished goes on and on. Support this historic traditional American art form that American women have spoken through for generations! Keep those new programs of Simply Quilts rolling out of the Weller Grossman studios!
Simply Quilts provides great information and inspiration for quilters of all levels. Alex provides a great array of programs and displays. The information is invaluable. Please reconsider taking new programs off the air.

I support this petition. I DVR this show every day and save many of the programs so I can reference them when needed. This is one of the BEST quilting shows on television. Although there are several sewing shows on local OPB, Simply Quilts content is far superior to these.
Please reconsider your decision to stop airing Alex Anderson's new Simply Quilts shows. I’ve recorded and viewed nearly all the episodes since I began quilting four years ago. I would rather see more good programs on quilting, not fewer.
I support this petition. It would be a shame to not continue forward in a craft/art media that has done nothing but expanded exponentially in the last ten years. I would image that you would be losing a sizable population of viewers with a large buying power in the market. This is a quality show and if missing from HGTV will be a loss in viewership and web site activity for you. I hope that you will reconsider your decision for new shows in the future.

This program supports and encourages a historical art form and I can't believe that you would consider cancelling this program in favor of retaining a show on scrapbooking or making do-dads with egg cartons as on some of the other HGTV offerings. If this program is cancelled, I will have no reason to surf the HGTV web site as I often do when I am checking the Simply Quilts program schedule. There are very few quilt programs of this calibre.

HGTV will be making a very bad mistake if they do not continue to support the quilting community by airing new episodes of Simply Quilts. There are a lot of us quilter out here!
I support this petition, because Simply Quilts is the only quilt show that is available in the North Georgia area, and we've seen the reruns many, many times.
I am very saddened to hear that you decided not only to cancel Simply Quilts, but to no longer air past episodes. I have viewed several other quilting shows and none come close in content nor production quality to Simply Quilts. It is, in fact, the reason why my cable box is tuned to HGTV during the weekdays, which means I tend to watch a few of the HGTV evening shows before switching to other channels. I rather doubt I will tune in to HGTV should you continue on your course to drop Simply Quilts. As a fledgling art quilter, I have particularly found inspiration in the preliminary 5 minute segments and was thrilled when several of my friends were filmed for this year's episodes. More importantly from a comercial standpoint, I check out the products mentioned by guest and feature quilt artists. Please reconsider and continue to film and air Simply Quilts.
I support this petition. This show is only one of two that I consistently watch. As one of the "older" generation who is over the home fix-it/youth/march/ craze my day starts with Simply Quilts. I am inspired and use many of the techniques and patterns given by Alex Anderson. Don't take away the high light of my day!!!!!
I watch Simply Quilts whenever I can. Even though I have been quilting for 20+ years, I always learn something new. I am not interested in watching old, recycled episodes.

I support this petition because it is a quality show which helps me with my quilting and fiber art .I love it and do not want it removed .Rethink! there is a large active audience and I am sure the sponsors want to reach we fabric consumers also .Please leave Alex alone .
I support this petition. It would be a disservice to the HGTV viewers to remove this program. You present multiple shows about decorating and organizing, but you threaten to remove the one quilter's program! Someone needs to re-think this.
