I support this petition. It is a shame that a quality show like Simply Quilts would be taken off the air. I learned to quilt watching the show. I watch it every day. I am very disappointed by this.
I support this petition. "Simply Quilts" is my favorite TV program. Alex Anderson is a wonderful teacher and introduces us to new techniques and quilting teachers we would never see without this program. HGTV has many good programs, but cancelling your only quilting show is a mistake! Don't ignore the quilting world - we would rather quilt than decorate our houses!

I support this petition. Simply Quilts is my favorite program and if I can't watch it every day I tape it to watch it at night. Why on earth would you want to change something that everyone enjoys? It is like having a teacher in your home every day. I enjoy most HGTV programs, but Simply Quilts is a favorite.

I support this petition. I work during the day and tape the show. I can not imagine why HGTV would want to cancel something having to do with with a topic as popular as quilting is at this time. They already have gotten away from other type craft programs and only deal with indoor and outdoor decorating. I may have to cancel my subscription to this channel.

With the enormous and growing popularity of quilting in this country and around the world, I find it unimaginable that Simply Quilts' plug will be pulled! Every day on Simply Quilts we are introduced to new techniques, books, and tools which we REALLY DO GO OUT AND BUY! Simply Quilts is a frequent topic of conversation among quilters. Quilters are the best people you could ever want to know and be associated with, and we control a lot of pursestrings. What sponsor in his/her right mind would pass up the opportunity to tap into the wealth and enthusiasm of some of the best women (and men) in the country? We're not all stay-at-home Moms, but also teachers, doctors, lawyers, college professors, corporate types, musicians, stock holders, etc. Show your sponsors the ideas and emotion that go along with this petition. HGTV is a nice cable channel to have access to, but Simply Quilts makes it an excellent cable selection.If I were to have cable access by the "menu" option being discussed recently, I really don't think HGTV would be one of the top selections, if even on the list. Don't blow your image by acting like a bunch of corporate beancounters. If you can't make money off Simply Quilts, perhaps you're in the wrong business. It should be a gold mine!

I support this petition. I also live in a rural area without close access to quilt shops or classes. I watch Simply Quilts every day and tape most shows. Tremendous value to all quilters - and I learn so much. PLEASE don't even think of canceling this show or not allowing Alex to tape new ones. She is an excellent teacher. I agree with one of the other comments - think of customer service instead of $$. Good shows are few and far between as it is.

With the growing popularity with journal quilts, cloth ATC's which are like mini quilts and the new books out on making books using quilting methods You would have to be crazy to cancel this show. It is up to date on new trends and teaches new people to quilting along with seasoned quilters. Please do not cancel this quality program.

How can HGTV even condsider cancelling it! I have TiVo and record every episode so I can transfer them to tape. PLEASE keep Simply Quilts on the air!
