Alex Anderson is a personable host, and the guests she has are informative, and teach cutting-edge designs and techniques. There is no other show I'm aware of that offers something that experienced quilters and beginners can both learn from. I've used techniques I've learned from this show, and have passed them along to others. I also know two wonderful people who have been guests on this show, and love to watch their episodes every chance I get. Please don't cancel production of Simply Quilts! That would simply NOT do. Simply Quilts has proven to be both educational and inspirational, even for someone who has been in the business for 35 years.

Simply Quilts has been instrumental in bringing quilting techniques and stars to everyone world wide. Quilters in remote areas watch faithfully, as to those of us in large metro areas. Alex is articulate and experienced and brings the world of quilting alive for everyone. There are still so many techniques, methods, quilts, designs, innovations, embellishment ideas, and fabric manipulations to show fabric artists, you will never run out of subject matter, regardless of how many years the show runs. Please consider continuing with Simply QUilts for all of the quilters, sewers and fabric artists!
I support this petition. I never quilted until I started watching Simply Quilts each morning. I got so inspired by Alex and all her guests that I had to try it. First I machine quilted. Then I got brave and started hand quilting. My kids and grandkids are so thankful that I have watched this show because they reap the rewards of beautiful cozy quilts. I hope to teach them to quilt, but without this show for inspiration it will be a harder job. Please keep making these quilt shows for all of us.
As a male quilter, I find that I have learned much about the art of quilting from HGTV's Simply Quilts. As I am a business owner, I do not have time to go to quilt classes at the moment, so I use the episodes to learn new techniques and various ways of doing things. Because of this program, I have made over 100 quilts for the homeless in my city and gotten 5 other men interested in quilting. Alex Anderson is a very good hostess and she always seems to give me a surprise or two during each episode. Also she is not only teaching the art of quilting, but is giving us history on various quilts such as 'Dear Jane', a quilt made during the civil war which I am also making. This quilt spawned an entire internet culture along with others such as 'Little Brown Bird' and has helped to foster the art of quilting. Please do not cancel this show. It is watched by many for us, and for some folks who are shut-ins, this is one of their only ways of learning.

I support this petition. This is the only quilt show that i do get, and to take it off the air is a huge mistake. There is thousands of quilters out there that either go to your HGTV site and view as they can't see show, or they watch the show. It only comes on one time a day now at 7:30am central time, and it is one that i watch every morning. This show is very educational, and lets us quilters know what is new in the quilting world. Did you know that people in other countries that can't view the show goes to the web site and view it that way. DIY channel does not have a quilting show, which mine you i can't get anyway. And the other "craft" shows you air don't have anything to do with quilting with fabric! I see enough of the home dec. shows, and craft shows. When you changed your format for SQ in the past we all went up in arms to tell you how disappointed we were and now you're taking it totally off the air? I don't understand. For many areas in the US, Simply Quilts is to only quilting program we receive.. It is a first rate, quality program. Hundreds of quilters will be deprived of the only quilting program available to them.
