I think it would hurt the quilting world if this show is cancelled. Where can women watch a program that shows them quilting techniques. Please keep this program on the air.
I support this petition. Please do not cancel Simply Quilts. It is the only TV show around which I plan my daily schedule. The quilting world is constantly evolving, and new products and techniques are continually being introduced on the Simply Quilts program. I think we need more quilting shows, not fewer. The home decorating and redecorating programs are of no interest to me.

I am the program director for two quilds in Maryland. I am also a member of the Mason Dixon Professional Quilt Network, I meet quilters everyday who always watch the show. I myself have taped as many episodes as possible. I have been quilting for 36 years and still learn something new at least once a week from the show.

I cannot believe that HGTV would even consider cancellation of Simply Quilts. You guys can't be very bright! Quilting is gaining in popularity - the audience for this show is growing! What do you plan to replace it with - another episode of Sherry and that toady guy painting walls?
Please continue this show. Simply Quilts is the only show on your station that I watch on a regular basis. This is the only way for some of us who live in areas where there are no leading quilt teachers available, to keep up to date on the quilting world. Alex is probably the best known quilt teacher in America.
This is my only link to the Quilting World at this time. I've no reason to turn HGTV on without this show. I can't even imagine my day without Simply Quilts ! Please reconsider, we need more shows like this, not less!!!

I support this petition. I got Directv and DIY just so I could watch Simply Quilts. I am retiring in 2006 to do quilting full time. This show is the only show that provides the latest info on quilting, since most of the PBS quilt shows are not shown on our local channels.

I support this petition. Simply Quilts is a wonderful resource for anyone who is or wishes to be a quilter, from beginner to advanced. Alex is inspirational and her techniques are first rate. Quilting will be around for years to come. When people hear that I quilt, I am AMAZED at how many say "oh, that's going to be my #1 hobby when my kids are out of the house or when I retire. It really is appealing to such a wide audience.

NOOOO!!! There is SO much left to learn! WHY would they cancel when the quilting phemon is catching like wildfire?? A renaissance of three decades proves that this is not your average craft fad, and with the likes of SQ proven that quilting is not your average craft!!
Simply Quilts was the first show we every watched on HGTV and my wife is an avid viewer each day. I can't believe you'd drop a show that has such a large viewing audience and that addresses a topic that is in such great popularity among people of all ages and all nations. What are you thinking?
I support this petition.Not only is the program great,I've worked in two quilting shops that track the program as to have books and material on hand as the customers are asking for the items the very day they view the program. The support of the web site is just frosting on the cake.

How on earth can you be pulling a quilting show! In a time where quilting is so VERY popular, moreso than ever before, it makes no sense to pull it. There are more magazines coming out, more fabric companies creating MORE fabrics than ever before, more books, and more TV shows out there all about QUILTING. HGTV would suffer a tremendous loss of viewers. We can even watch quilting on the internet on at least 2 large sites I know of, show after show. Yet we still come to HGTV to get more because we quilters are obsessed. We Quilters strive to get everything we can get on quilting and then want more. PLEASE DON'T PULL THIS SHOW.
