I support this petition. S.Q. is not "just another quilting program". The program is of great value to millions of viewers like myself. It is programs like S.Q. that keep the quilting industry moving along, and making the economy strong. More fabric, supplies, texts, etc. are purchased because of this high quality educational program. With this program "on sold" to other overseas countries like Australia and New Zealand, there will be a flow on effect to other quilting economies. It is likely that international sales of USA made products will also reduce, adding another hard knock to the industry. A decision to remove S.Q. will have far reaching consequences.
I support this petition. I watch every new Simply Quilts episode as well as the rare episode I haven't seen before. And those are the ONLY times I watch HGTV, because so many of the shows are irrelevant to me.
I support this petition. A couple of years ago I began watching this show and it was the reason I began quilting! I have learned a great deal from this show and there are more than enough decorating shows on TV. Please continue producing this show!!

I support this petition. As a teacher, I know some children who are learning to quilt and enjoy this program. Classes are not always available to them because they are geared to adults. The clearly presented material is easy for a young student to follow. In addition, I find the show very helpful in my quilting. Please leave this show on.

I support this petition.I am sad to think that HGTV would cancel this program when there is no other craft, hobby or needlework programming on their network. It has become strictly remodelling, decorating or selling "junk" or real estate. Alex Anderson always has something for quilters and sewers to learn. I understand that Carol Duvall has also been cancellled. What are you thinking?
I support this petition. Please reconsider the decision to cancel Simply Quilts. We need more quilting shows not the removal of. The cancellation of Simply Quilts leaves only Fonz & Porter on PBS and that is only 1 show a week.
I support this petition. Has HGTV lost touch with a multi-million dollar industry? For many people, it is their only outlet for quilting instructions, demonstrations, and valuable tips/information. I've learned so much when I was a beginner, and my inspiration has always been looking forward to the next episode of Simply Quilts. Is HGTV going exclusively designing homes? Whoever the person was that made the decision to cancel the show should be transferred to a department they might be more effective in. Or, have that person do some serious research into the quilting industry to see that this is a growing business, not something to be tossed aside. Please reconsider this decision and keep this wonderful show available for everyone.

I support this petition. I work in a quilt/sewing shop. So many of our customers learn about new products and techniques from Simply Quilts. It would be a shame for us to lose this valuable source of knowledge.
I support this petition. I learned to quilt watching this show and am now teaching needy women to sew and quilt. I encourage them to watch. Needy women cannot afford to go to hands on training classes in quilting. This is their only resource for new skills that may get them out of poverty or at least keep their family warm. This is just another sign of the needs of the poor being ignored in this country. To get off assistance they need training. Simply Quilts is one place they get it for free.

Because of Simply Quilts I have gone from a quilter who makes bad quilts to a quilter that makes quilted garments and works of art. I have pulled different ideas from different show and come up with new approches. Please DO NOT take Simply Quilts off the air it is the only quilt show worth watching.
I support this petition. Simply Quilts has done much to further the avocation of quilting. It has introduced new comers and provided information and stimulation for many experienced quilters. To remove it would cut out a large segment of the viewing audience who want to go beyond home fix it projects to more creative endeavors.
