Health class is taught in almost all schools in America. They teach about physical health and mental health. They teach what to avoid to stay healthy and what not to avoid to stay healthy. They teach about anorexia, bulimia, suicide, drugs, depression and so many other things. I believe that since Self Injury is becoming such a big thing more people should be taught about it. I know there is at least one issue with this. Kids who had not thought of it will start. What about the other things.

i believe very much that this should be taught in school and parents be aware of it. as my daughter does this at time an they always think she is suicidal and she aint as she is using this as a coping skill it is easier to control the outer pain then inner.. yes i believe this very much i have tried to get something going in my home town but no one will help me in schools..

because people don't understand the reasons behind self injury. and it needs to be explained that self injurers are not crazy.

We really need this at schools. I think we need education to learn how to deal with stress and how to relax. A lot of people don't know how to cope, and I think it's up to the schools that cause most of our stress to teach us how to cope. Good idea to cause change- I'm passing you on.
