This petition is being put up in order to protect or rights ouside of school. Recenlty schools have been searching sites such as MySpace.com in search of students adn there activites. They are using the site to find where activites such as parties and such are taking place. They are also using it to find out what students say and punish them for that. If you say something about a teacher you will be punished. That is a violation of the first amendment. Students have a right to say whatever they want whether it be the opinion on a teacher or otherwise. We would like to see that we recieve more privacy and respect from the schools. That we can say what we want without being punished and we can safely talk freely without the interruption of the school.
