Japan, Iceland and Norway are presently killing whales in defiance of the ban and plan to increase their self-allocated quotas in 2006.

They are not satisfied with their present whale "harvests", and want to slaughter greater numbers.

Japan wants to "take" another 3,000 minke whales from the Southern Ocean. This number is seven times greater than its current catch of 440 minke whales from that area.

Please sign this petition if you are against the commercial killing of whales. And no profanity (bad words) please.

The idea of "scientific" whaling is laughable. Leave these magnificent creatures in peace. There is no justifiable reason to hunt any species to the brink of extinction like this. LEAVE THEM ALONE!

Why on earth would you want to kill these beautiful creatures and eat them up!? We already have thousands of things to eat and we survive quite well without eating an endangered species! You'll get what's coming to you if you don' help SAVE THE WHALES!

humans , if you dont stop doing this , we will all burn in hell or we will have hell to pay someday! we all wonder about those natural disasters , THATS what we get if we keep treating animals like this! i wish the worst on those whalemurderers , and like the sealhunters , they shall suffer the same as whales and seals do! YOU DESERVE IT!!! especially japan and china will have hell to pay for treating and huntinng animals down like that!!! as soon as revenge comes , i'll be ready clappin my hands and drinkin champagne!!

I support this petition. The killing of theses beautiful creatures who we are lucky to share our world with is absolutely needless and barbaric. The japanese are desensitised to anything they kill everything going it has to stop. These whales need to be left alone in peace.

I think more needs to be done, more pressure needs to be put on GOVERNMENTS - our Government! This is a global disgrace which will have long term effects on the food chain in the future! I vote we harpoon the Japs and drag them alive on to a ship! SAVE THE WHALES!

This angers me so much but i will try not to use profanities because of your lovely manners. The Japanese are friggin so ignorant, good on Greenpeace for doing something. Its not enough though, everyone has to be apart of it and protest in whatever way possible!
