eventhought smoking and second hand soking cand kill it should still be legal because if you take away everthink in life that is good (lots of thngs that are good are unhealthy ,doughts ) and people enjoy there will be no point in living.

It's unhealthy and frankly, I am fed up with having to be a victim to secondhand smoke. I have a yound child at home and we constantly smell cigarette smoke through our vents because of our neighbors. It's not fair that my family has to suffer the consequences of our neighbors actions.

While I'm not usually for such restrictive laws, I am whole-heartedly in favor of making cigarettes illegal. Having cystic fibrosis, asthma, and a severe allergy to secondhand smoke, other's smoking, particularly right outside entrances, exits, and under public breezeways, infringes severely on not only my health, but the quality of my already shortened life. Your right to smoke stops at my right to breathe.

yes, cigarettes are bad for you, i have been smoking since i was 12 years old, my dad even had cancer, before he died in a car crash when i was 5. But people who don't smoke have NO right to be telling us we should ban smoking.

I have been a light smoker for many years and I know my own behavior could very well give me cancer. I cannot comprehend how cigarettes are legal or how manufacturers of tobacco have no conscience of the death in this country caused by their product. Cigarettes fall into the same categories that make other drugs illegal, ie , high potential for abuse, bad for your health. Also the government reaps the benefits from charging its citizens more for cigarettes (remember the tax increase a few years ago?) The government simply makes too much money too give to other countries, instead of back to us via Social Security among others, to make it illegal even though some Americans are smart enough to decide for themselves whats bad upon recieving the facts. Keeping cigarettes legal, or keeping drugs illegal, simply shows how big a hole of lies the government is already in and will continue that way because money makes people evil, they think we are robots anyway and most of us are. cigarette smoking almost always starts at a young age (under 18)and once someone starts it becomews nearly impossible to stop giving them a lifetime addiction and life long health problems.This shortens the life span of the smoker and cost the health care in our country millions.I personally know several people who smoke and would like to quit but so far have been uncessful.Its wrong how tobacco companies target youth then leave them stuck with a deadly addiction,a better question would be why should they be legal?
