I know two people who have died in their early 50s from lung cancer due to smoking. Its time to make a change, we don't have to loose our loves ones like this, it's preventable.
i think that if u illegize smoking now this generation will be angered but after about a year their addictions to ciggaretts will be over and the next generation will be healthier and this topic will be over.......and no i doubt people will start selling it underground like pot cause u cant get a buzz of of smoking or anything

I am a teenager and peer pressure can get the best of you sometimes, I don't want it to get the best of me and my friends, Honestly I see know difference in Marijuana or Cigarettes, they both age and kill you. I hate Phillip Morris for even starting the Cigarette Co. and I am going to call the company and have a word about it with them, second hand smoke is just as bad as smoking itself, and I don't want anyone smoking around me. My friend Zefo lost his dad to lung cancer, what a horrible way to pass, so I hope this helps!

As a person who has quit smoking, I worry that I will still be damaged by cigarettes due to second hand smoke. I think that cigarettes should be banned and those who smoke should be helped through the peocess. It is possible to quit.
There are many reasons why cig's and alcohol are legal. One of those reasons being the U.S. Government's 'Population Control' initiative and of course Taxation. Neither of these substances can easily be produced at home so to speak, so they are made available and made addictive and all the reasons for this surround Money. Don't fall for this, if you smoke, Quit. The U.S. Government dosen't need your help getting rich in this way and you don't need to support their evil plan of making you very sick (to support to horrible health care system) and eventually killing you.
