The series ended with too many loose ends, foreign and domestic. It's time to give it a proper send-off.

I support this Petition. I so hope the creator and writers for The West WIng will bring it back. The public is hungry for stories that we can relate to with the election of a 'non white' President. Please read these and consider.

The West Wing was one of my favourite shows on television . It was great to see the political game acted out. I've heard it said that the West Wing is probably better than the real thing. It would be good to see another season with Matt Santos as president which would be topical with the prospective political situation in the United States. Better still why doesn't Aaron Sorkin run for president?

Please bring back West Wing, we in Australia have only just viewed the final episode of West Wing and are experiencing withdrawals - please bring back a series that demonstrates a superbly written script, a cast of actors second to non and captivating storylines. Please someone, bring us back intellectual, thought provoking programming, not reality TV's that simply assist with weight loss and makeovers - superficial content.Come back please West Wing...

Those of us who are dedicated to working for the government sometimes call it the "disease." Why else would we choose lower pay, fighting red-tape, dealing with sometimes less than stellar elected officials unless there was something more. The thought that you are working for the good of more than just yourself is that something more. When you turn on the West Wing, you watch characters with the same passion for government, its power and its problems. The debates we saw from characters we connected with taught so much about our country and its democracy. That can only lead to better things. After May, what will be on TV that can make things better? The early years of the West Wing were the best - I'd love to have Aaron Sorkin back and to have the show continue!

The West Wing was for me the first prime time (in Australia) TV show that blended great writing with a sense of how history affects and influences our actions. The first show that made me sit up and take notice was Series 3 Dead Irish Writers. Since then I've been hooked. Thanks Aaron, you've affected people you've never met in ways you'll never know. All Power to you and all the great actors and actresses who appeared on your show. Thanks from Sydney, Australia.

The West Wing was the first show that truly made me believ in the power of words. There are so many quites from the show that I can say in my head and get goosebumps. The show did make me proud to be American (even though I am British), the show did make me hanker for more and more and more. I would schedule my life around viewings, unplug the phone and demand silence from anyone in the house... Now I find myself not really focusing, having conversations with people and making a cup of tea through the show... still listeing with one ear in case the genius returns. I didn't care if the how was idealistic and liberal... I didn't care if what was said was politically incorrect... I just loved the passion, the promise, the words... So, let's stop the West Wing taking a break from mediocrity and get Aaron Sorkin back... Please!

The West Wing was the greatest show I had ever seen. The sharp witty dialogue & deep characters made the show. But this was all due to Aaron Sorkin. The show now is no more than a shell of what it used to be. The execs need to swallow their pride and do the right thing in bringing Mr. Sorkin back.

It took me just 3 episodes (after Zoe have been saved) to notice the huge change. Big disappointment to me. I don't even know if i will watch this 5 season until the end. Great lack of a good and well constructed plot on each episode. It even feels that the actors don't have the same passion to play their character anymore. What a waste. Please bring Mr Sorkin back.

I miss Sam Seaborn's dialogue, obviously the work of Sorkin's writing, you can really hear the difference in the show now. I loved WW in that it talked over my head and I had to pay attention.

Last year was a slight improvement from the year before, but it all pales in comparison to the Sorkin years.

When I bought ther first four seasons on DVD, I was instantly hooked. I knew if I had any work to do, I couldn't watch an episode of WW because 1 episode would turn inton 2 and by nights end I would've watched an entire disc of Aaron's brilliance. Watching season five was like watching my best friend after his father died. Something was not right. If season one had the quality of season five, I doubt WW would lasted 6 episodes. Seasons five and six have been lifeless. Please bring Aaron Sorkin back or cancel the show. I can only imagine what a tragic mess it will be when a new president and staff take the White House.

With Sorkin's leadership, The West Wing was phenominal television. The show is now mediocre, and could truly use some help from the original mastermind.

This was brilliant under Sorkin's leadership. It's less than mediocre now. You still have a great cast, but they have no scripts. What a waste. Please bring back Mr. Sorkin!!!

The American President was on TV tonight and I saw in it little glimmers of the greatness that The West Wing would become. Aaron Sorkin's episodes were the highlights and the glue that tied the whole show together.
