Broadcast an Unaltered Version of South Park #201
Published April 23, 2010
I hereby petition Comedy Central to broadcast an unaltered, uncensored version of South Park episode number 201. Trey Parker and Matt Stone should have final say in what is included in this episode and what is censored. We need to do this to stand up for free speech around the world and to show that a free people cannot be intimidated by a radical religious group. Comedy Central has set a precedent in which it has allowed a group of hateful people to intimidate a nation into obedience. We must reverse this precedent. We have a duty as free people to protect the rights that we hold dear. Censoring episode 201 of South Park has only strengthen intimidation's hold on our country. If we stand together as one for the freedom of speech they will have no ground on which to attack us, but if we continue to cave in to their demands and disassociate ourselves with those who stand against intimidation, things will only get worse. Comedy Central, we as free people, petition you to help us stand up for our free speech and help us overcome this obstacle. If you too believe this, please sign our petition.

This is a clarification for those who have not seen the episode in question. In episode 201 of South Park the prophet Muhammad was depicted as a character. Comedy Central forced Trey Parker and Matt Stone to censor the image of Muhammad because a website called revolutionmuslim.com threatened violence against those who create South Park. Not only did Comedy Central force the creators to censor their episode, but they also censored a speech at the end of the episode.
