If you are a Spider-Man fan it is likely you have stumbled upon one of the--if not the--greatest animation adaption of Spider-Man: The Spectacular Spider-Man which currently shows on DisneyXD.

The show is absolutely amazing. The writing is witty, the designs are fluid, and there is an overwhelming amount of love put into its creation. I was not a huge Spider-Man fan myself before I completely fell for this work of art. It may sound like an exaggeration, but it truly is not-- This show has it all and deserves something Sony and Disney have not yet green-lighted:

A 3rd season.

There are two amazing seasons of SSM but it would be a travesty if the show is not able to continue as fans-- and the show's producers-- desire. If you love this show and want to gobble of more of its wonder here are ways you can show your support:

*Whether or not SSM gets a 3rd season is largely dependent on YOU--the audience! If you just make sure to watch SSM episodes when they appear on Disney XD you are helping its ratings soar. This makes those distributors and corporate supporters of the show rub their chins and go "ah, I believe we have something here" (and they do). Just think-- watching the show shows that you want more of the show! (And that's what we want, right?)

*Writing letters. Write to Disney, write to Sony Pictures Television write to Culver Entertainment (a branch of Sony producing the show) , write to Greg Weisman and Victor Cook who are the show's supervising producers, write to Tender Box even (the singers of the show's lovely theme song). Write. Let your voice be heard. It can make all the difference. (If you prefer to draw, go for that, too!)

*Talk about it! Talk about it with your friends. Gather up on a lazy day or fun day and watch a few episodes of the show. This not only helps ratings, but also helps make some new SSM recruits!

I cannot stress ENOUGH on how important it is to watch SSM when it comes on Disney XD. So much depends on that alone and letters and new fans are icing on that cake. Keep an eye on season 2 episodes-- ratings for those premiers are being looked at with intensity.

When all is said and done, I think everything is up to us: the fans. If we can show our love and support people will respond.

They will.

Too many great cartoons are cast aside for ones that are just not as good. The Spectacular Spider-Man remains one of the better shows-- live-action or no--I have seen in a long, long time. I can't speak for you on this, but if you agree-- let's show that. Let's show these producers and distributors that "Hey, I like it, and you can only win by making more". I'm a self-proclaimed cartoon addict and don't want to lose a cartoon that has something so many other things in this world have lost:

Heart.

If you love Spider-Man; If you care about the characters in this show, from Peter Parker to Flash to Gwen Stacy or Mary Jane, Liz Allen or Harry; If you want to know if Gwen and Peter have a chance (for once); If you want to see more Green Goblin, Venom, and Max; If you love a witty script and an appropriate amount of suspense, drama, comedy and romance; If you just want to show your support for a cause dear to another person; And if you just want to know "What happens next?" please --PLEASE-- do what only you can do:

Give The Spectacular Spider-Man season 3 a chance of happening.

I am one fan, who has never started an online petition like this before, but started now because this show deserves a continuing future. It's funny, heart-warming, and worthy.
