This petition has been written after hearing the news of the st.albans youth centre closing.

The pioneer is a place where local teens can gather , listen to live music and have fun. It gives teenagers somewhere to go and gets them off the streets. It also has a range of educational and artisitc facilities and even social activities. Having this center closed down would be a terrible loss and will impact greatly on the lives of the teens living around st.albans and areas further away.

It boasts a large hall , inside and outside skate ramps and a large stage where budding bands can perform and advertise their groups. This center plays a vital part in alot of peoples lives and closing it down would have a great impact on the teens who visit.

The pioneer is not only for listening to music and skating. there is also something called ' the den'. The den is also vital for teens to discuss differant matters such as sexual health , drugs , families and even football!
there is also a dark room where budding photographers can develop photos and recieve advice and top-tips!

The apparent reason for The Pioneer closing is that is stationed right next to a fire station and that fire engines cannot get out when parents are picking up their teens...slight alteration to the land would give enough room for parents to pick up their teenagers and for fire engines to get in and out.
