Stop Carpet Torture
Published February 15, 2010
If only rugs could talk, what heartbreaking stories we'd hear. Is it not enough to walk over them? Do we really have to beat them too? There is a more effective way to clean your rugs than torture.
When someone asks, "What did you do?" what will you say? Will you look back and regret not taking a stand? Sign this petition to add your name to the call for an end to rug torture, and join the others who insist on change.
Join the pledge to fight to end the unethical treatment of carpets.
• Carpets have to be respected, not subjected to physical torture like beating, hanging, throwing, banging and pulling on the pretext of cleaning.
• Pledge to keep a watch on apartment blocks, balconies, residential communities and backyards to prevent such a hideous crime from taking place.
• Vow to do the utmost to inform perpetrators about gentler and more effective ways of cleaning carpets like DAC Carpet Shampoo.
• Spread the word about carpet torture, and get everyone I know to join DAC in rejecting carpet torture in our local communities. This is a battle not to punish people, but to change a mindset.
Sign the petition and help give carpets a voice!
