Why must we label bands/artists?
Why can't we just label them as them?
Why do we fight because some of us like a different type of music?

I, for one am sick of this! If you are sick of hearing people label bands, call them posers, say they suck, etc. Sign this petition and hopefully we can convince people to stop labelling people, bands, artists, etc!

Why can't rapper's play rock music? Why can't rockers be techno DJ's? Why can't they just do what they want to do and get away with it? Why do they have to go through all this crap everyday just because of what they do? If they are labelled as a "rapper" they should still be able to play rock music. Celebrities have lives too, same as ours, even if they work 24/7. They still have feelings, like us, they are normal human beings with benefits! Put yourself in their shoes, how would you feel if you get picked on because of what you do? Or because your different? You would probably feel like shit! All you feel...one word is to blame for all that...LABELS!

Labels are real. A rapper can play rock music, rockers aren't techno DJs. Pop punk is not punk (punk is dead). ALL EMO IS CRAP! If some are called poseurs it's because it's true. Get real.

there is this 1 were da person thinks dat destinys child suck and i am a big fan even if they r breakin up but da person said dat they did like dc but he h8s da new song, so now he h8s dc but i think there upset dat they r breakin up just as much as i am but i still love them and wish them all da best and hope michelle wil brin a cd 2 da u.k!

Because labelling artists work into catergory reduces any hope of them being considered indivual and any attempt to break out of this label will result in them being a poser or similar. I label all bad music to be 'emo'. Insane Clown Posse, 50 Cent, The Monkies, Hilary Duff, Hanson, Guns N Roses, Britney Spears, Slipknot, Good Charlotte and Scissor Sisters are all emo. For the sake of your ears, avoid this noise.

I am the creator of this petition...Kathy. The main reason why I created this petition is because I want to know...why do we label bands? Why do we label people? Everyone should and DOES have a right to do what they want to do. They should be able to dress the way they want and not get picked on because of it. They should be able to like a certain type of music and not get picked on because of it. They SHOULD be...but their NOT! Why? Cause of the low-life's in this world, the people who judge somenoe by the way they look, by the way they sound, the way they make music, they way they sing, etc. I honestly don't see how this is really any different from racism. I know what racism is, it is really close to this, it is really close to the reason why people get picked on at school, in life. Bullying...it should be a crime, but not just any crime, a crime like murder, or racism, a crime where police actually gets involved! But its not! I don't think it's fair!

When it's come to the point where I'd rather hear monkies farting than certain genres of music, there is something definately wrong with certain genres of music.
