Firstly, men have absolutely NO right to even discuss this issue. Its a woman's issue, a WOMAN'S BODY, and YES, a woman's CHOICE! Issues are NOT black and white, there is always a gray area,theres always an exception to the rule. A young baby girl (yes, little girl not woman) of 12 years old was raped in another country and got pregnant as a result of this rape, same as I, although I was older. This is a TWELVE year old BABY GIRL, still in junior school, forheavens sake!Are you dvocating that this 12 year old CHILD should CARRY and BEAR the result of that RAPE at TWELVE YEARS OLD???! Is it not enough that she was raped and VIOLATED in the first place, you SELFISHLY want HER to continue experiencing that trauma inside HER BODY every day/ Who the hell do you think you are, and how self-centred are you? You are not this baby girl, HOW can you judge and say she should keep it? There is NO alternative if you are raped, you want to get it out asap! Adoption is NOT an opinion, because a woman cannot COPE with having that inside her EVERYDAY! The major factor in this argument is what you believe makes a human being. If you believe that flesh and tissue is what makes a human being, then good for you. However, if you believe it's thoughts, physical awareness, and emotions that make a human being, then yes, a fetus is merely a lump of worthless tissue. About it not being the mother's choice, pardon my French, but that is a load of bull****. If she does not want it there, it IS the mother's choice because it is HER body. That's like saying removing a tumor is wrong because it is a living thing. While abortion is not the answer for everyone, it is the answer for a lot of people. For instance, if a woman is brutally raped, having the baby might not always be a safe thing to do. The potential of death on her part and the baby's is very high in some cases. In addition to that, sometimes abortion is better for the baby as well as the mother. Say, for instance, that the mother is a teenager. She is NOT going to be able to provide for that baby. It is going to have a miserable childhood, and probably a miserable existance afterwards. Besides, as cruel as it may sound, we already have enough starving children in the world. We don't need more. While I believe adoption is a better alternative to abortion, I'm not going to stop a woman who feels that an abortion is better for her. We don't know her as well as she knows herself, and if she says that an abortion is her best option? Then fine. That's her choice to make. Also, to clear up a rather large misconception, not all women's maternal instincts kick in as soon as they have a child. If the woman is a victim of rape, there is a potential she could hate her child as much as she does her rapist. Personally, I think it would be better for the child not to live at all than to live a miserable existance devoid of love. Also, you 'thought the world would figure it out
