The church of scientology goes against all western beliefs an could actually be dangrous to human health. Any religion with this hazard should be taxed as any other organization.
To the previous poster: Not taxing churches IS separation of church and state. You don't want the state to have the ability to tax out of existence a real and charitable religion.

As taxpayer and ardent believer that religious institutions should be exempt from paying taxes because they help society and act selflessly, I herewith wish to declare that IT IS ABSURD the so-called "Scientology Church" should stand to gain from these benefits, as clearly it resembles an economic institution that just tries to gain foot in society for the sake of of the benefit of its leaders.Taking into consideration that this status has been removed in many Western countries and reading the reasons that are the cause of this decision by many countries, I would implore you to read them too and atleast check into them...PLEASE REMOVE THE STATUS OF CHURCH for the Scientology Organisation. I disagree with all tax exempt status of religious organizations, and even though I don't see any merit for this organization to be classified as a religion in any form, I wish to add my name to this petition.
Referring to this loony cesspit of second-rate science fiction as a religion - and giving it tax exempt status no less! - is an affront to every thinking taxpayer in America.
