I talked to a Scientologist rep along Hollywood Blvd. He told me that Scientology is not a religion, it is a way of life. Sounds like a self help group for profit.
Let me geet this straight. This so called "religion" teachs for a price that is not ok to take medicaion for an illness, but its ok to get your girlfriend pregnant before you get married. Sounds like a bunch of sh*t to me. These people are in a fuc**ing cult. Tax execpt for what. My accountant is not tax exempt and i pay him for advice. Somthings very very wrong here.
It is a huge sham to continue to grant the Church of Scientology, or any church, tax exempt status. They are huge landowners and they're making money all ove the place without paying their fair share. They are a cult and are full of nonsense. Plus, and this is the worst part, they attempt to intimidate and silence anyone who dares to even criticize them.
the 'scientologists' do not promote any kind of benefits for society. In fact, the are exclusory and eletist. My GOD! They even believe that a physically handicapped person is a lesser human and should not be associated with.
Scientology is not a religion, it is a cult. Other countries realize this. Why is America too stupid to acknowledge it? I thought that most Republicans who control our government were Christians. What do Christians have to gain from allowing these cultists tax-exempt status?
This is clearly not a religion...they only worship personal power and control. (And it is a psuedo-science on its best days. But most importantly it is a proven profit organization.
I'm really curious; how is Scientology a religion? Some of the things that come out of their mouths are absurd. I'm shocked to believe that people can be so clueless and naive, to allow this so-called "Church" swindle them out of money. Even worse, they take advantage of the government as well, so they can make as much money as that want, tell people anything they make up and profit from it! But the saddest part about it is, they play on unsuspecting and innocent people and turn them into mind-numbing cult members. All the while, they toss in a few celebrities into the mix, and they've got a sure-fire way to become millionaires. They don't have a place of worship. They have a "center" that you come to, so you can hand over money to recieve supposed eye-opening information. (a.k.a. brainwashing.) They don't have a code of beliefs, unless you include them believing we need to all be just like them, or else they speak to you in an insulting manner, if they even deign to at all. In their eyes, if you don't cave in to their proselytizing, then you do not exist. I am extremely opposed to this, and feel that they are NOT a religion, and do not deserve to have a tax-exemption status!!! I seriously hope that this cult is stopped soon.
