It is an absolute shame that such a group would be tax-exempt. I do not consider them a religion no more than I consider the Mickey Mouse Club a religion. Tom Cruise and all the other outspoken Hollywood Scientologist "superstars" make me absolutely sick. They make millions and millions of dollars that they give to the Scientology crazies when there are sick, abandoned and homeless children out there who need it. I don't know of any other legitimate churches that don't give back to the community in one way or another. Stop the craziness now!

Why should scientologists get to deduct the cost of their classes on their income tax return when Catholics & other religions can't deduct tuition costs for their religious education?

Cults do not deserve tax exempt status or any other governmental endorsement/support. Particularly when they are publicly promoting dangerous and misleading information as this one does.

A religion should offer some sort of higher values. Scientology appears to offer no redeaming spirituality and instead uses psychothereapy which is taxable.
Any organization that sells anything should pay taxes, period. That includes mosques, synagoges, churches, cults, and yes, little old ladies. I'm an equal-opportunity offender.

I want people to know that the people who practice Scientology are putting the children tha they have in danger. Scientologists leave their children by themselves after their born. In other words, the child does not get any food, does not get any attention from the parents northe doctors for 24 hours!!!!! Is there anybody out there outraged about this???
a church that charges and demamands money for it's services should be treated as a bussiness. if they want to sue everyone then they must pay taxes like any other bussiness
This cult brings in millions.More so than any other "religion" if you call scientology religion.Only difference is true religions give back to the community ie: homeless shelters,food banks,spiritual support.As scientology does not give back to society and therefore pockets millions
