The fact that the Church of $cientology has tax expemt status is utterly ridiculous! They REQUIRE members to pay for services! As far as I can tell, this "church" does nothing to help communities or the poor. So where is all of the money going??

I was lured into the scientology cult because of Narconon. Narconon is a church of scientology that fronts as a drug rehabilitation center. Narconon took advantage of my "desperate to get me help parents" saying that they were a non-traditional rehabilation program and never said anything about Scientology until my parents had already flown me there, they charged them over 21,000 dollars, when I found out it was a scientogy program I was desperate to leave because I knew it was a cult. They convinced my parents over the phone that I was just craving drugs and not to let me leave they did this for 30 days just to keep me there so that they wouldnt have to refund my parents the 20,000 after the 30 days was up I was kicked out of the program. I will do whatever I possibly can to see that the so-called church of scientology is stopped!

I hate the fact that this cult uses the word "church" in their name. "Church" is a unique Christian symbol and widely recognised term, and shouldn't be used by morons such as the scientology worshipers. The tax-exemption cut is only a start. In any real religion, you can have their utmost truths for free immediately. In fact, if you really believe you have the truth, it’s nothing less than morally reprehensible not to give it all away, upfront, and for free.
But with Suentology, it’s exactly the reverse. You only get the "truth" once you pay. This makes it a REVERSE religion. Otherwise known as a cult.
Scientology is a textbook cult. Members are required to pay (lots of) money, and the teachings (which are very obviously wrong) are kept secret. It is absolutely unbelieveable that they have tax exempt status.
