Here is a familiar theme. Cheri Di Novo is a minister of Emmanuel Howard-Park United Church. United Churches are extensions of Scientology. Cheri DiNovo has a weekly radio show in Toronto titled The Radical Reverend. Radical she is, so is her personal website. www.cheridinovo.com/blog. She became a “minister” (someone check out her credentials) in 1996, after a previous career running her own human-resources business. Sound familiar? Human Resources Canadian mafia all over again. Also, check out her colleague, “Rev.” John James, "minister" of St. Andrew's United Church.
It appears they've left a mark in a Connecticut church. New Haven, Connecticut - Grape juice that sickened 40 people during a church communion service was tainted, probpting authorities to launch a criminal investigation, police said Thursday. Five people were taken to the hospitals with nausea and parishoners reported a burning sensation in their throats. "We are considering this a crime and investigating it as such," Capt. Fred Komm said. Komm said authorities had not conclusively identified the substance, but had ruled out arsenic and other common poisons. The parishoners became sick after drinking the juice Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church in Darien.
I support this petition. I believe if you have to buy your way into a church then they should not recieve a tax exempt status. In that way it's more like a club for profit.
I support this petition. How could the government give a tax exempt status to a religion that bases it's belief in aliens, which the government tries so hard to make us believe doesn't exist.
I support this petition. It's cruely sad that the state of the world allows a religon that come out of a bet between L. Ron Hubard and the great writer Robert Heinlen. A crual joke on us all.
I support this petition wholeheartedly. Scientology should be tried for their numerous outlandish and disturbing violations and should never have achieved tax-exempt status in the first place. Of course, the state of this country (US) as of late (last 50 years, plus) considered, I'm not surprised.
I support this petition. Scientology is based on a bad novel and is not a religion. Instead of granting tax exemptions, our government should be prosecuting these charlatans and protecting the innocent from them.
I support this petition. Scientology should have its tax exemption removed because it is not a religion at all. It will never reform. And it will keep on hurting its members; not excluding the child abuse and the rest of the horrors that, thanks to the internet and the perseverance of many, are becoming much better known.
I support this petition. Religious tolerance can be a good thing, but when that "religion" encourages self-destructive behavior and exploits the weak-minded, something must be done.
