Religion = Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
The "Church" (while a perfect tool for exposing the lowest common denominator in society) needs to be abolished. These people need therapy and often prison, not safety behind the guise of a "church"...
this is not a religion, it's a cult...if i start my own cult, will I get the same benefits as the rich and famous who follow the church of Tom? Not likely.

The Church of Scientology most certainly is a CULT regardless of John Travolta or Tom Cruise I feel sorry for the kids. I am so against this CULT or any other CULT.

Having had some personal experience with the so-called Church of Scientology, I can assure you that this is a cult and that the world would be a better place if it didn't exist at all.
The "Church" of Scientology is not a real religion. It was made up by Hubbard just so he could get money. Scientology doesn't care about the people, they care about money.
I agree the Church of Scientology's tax-exemption status should be revoked - this is not a legitimate religion, but a complicated fraud which has the sole aim of taking monetary and physicla advantage of others.
