The Church of Scientology operates as a business, not a religion. It has patented its name and its symbol. It sues anyone bold enough to make a statement against it. It charges for its services. If the Church of Scientology is allowed to get away with this, then whats to stop a regular business from coming up with some half cocked beliefs and caling itself a religion, just to be able to enjoy the tax exempt status.

because I personally feel that no person, company or entity of any kind whatsoever that makes money for profitable reasons should be exempt from tax. It's ridiculous. If the CoS spent the bulk of their profits for charitable reasons, then fine. But they don't. Period.
