Seeing all of this makes me embarrassed to even be human. Freedom of speech and religion is important. Scientology is a just a mockery however. I feel so embarrassed for this people who believe. I mean I feel really, really sorry for you.
Cults should not have tax exemption! At the very most, it should be a non-profit organization so we can see their records! Yank their tax exempt status NOW!

I am glad Tom Cruise has finally focused the world's attention on dangerous 'group think'. People that join cults like this typically have low self esteem. Tom Cruise, despite his good looks and celebrity status probably has personal pain and issues that he is trying to resolve. Cults are good at that. They tell you what to think and why. You stop doing the work yourself and they give you the illusion that your problems are solved. As long as you believe in the illusion, and are numb to reality, you can fake your way through the day. It's no different than a drug addict or alcoholic. It is very dangerous thing when our government legitimized this group by giving them tax exemption. The time has come for it to stop.

This organization does a great deal of good throughout the world, but at a price to science, reason and the free expression detractors (who have first hand knowledge of COS's aggression and absurdities). It can enjoy status as a non-profit organization. Then we can see how much money these arrogant con-artists reep as administrators.

Do I HAVE to buy the book to find out? Where is the money going...some high salaried CULT leader? THEY MUST have their tax status changed as they are nothing but a CULT. The companies that provide advertising must be ordered by the Fed Gov as well as the IRS to "Cease and Desist" from providing any advertising for this cult. They MUST disclose ALL financial records...where the money is coming from and what it is being spent on.
