Dont take away Scientology. As much as you rant and rave about it, scientology has helped many people, including me, through our dark periods in life. Dont take it away, it can help so much!
I have long been concerned with the muders, theft, and brainwashing done by Scientology. It is not a religion. It is a cult. It has no business being tax exempt. This is a bad joke that has gone on for far too long, and it needs to be stopped.
Google "Parsons, Crowley, and Hubbard" to learn the real origins of scientology. This isn't even a corporation, it is a self-worship cult that turned into a money-grubbing mafia.
This "church" is a racket, intimidating threatening and even killing people. Calling this a "church" is ridiculous. It deserves tax-exempt status no more than the mob. It is a business, pure and simple, making its money off deception and fear.
I believe The Church of Scientology is a cult and not a religion, because of this, the Internal Revenue Service should cancel their current tax-exempt status.
A report on scientology presented to the Victorian Legislative Assembly in Australia said.
"Scientology is a grave threat to family and home life," the report says. "As well as causing financial hardship, it engenders dissension, suspicion and mistrust amongst members of the family. Scientology has caused many family estrangements.
"The board has been unable to find any worthwhile redeeming features in scientology.
Hubbard was a consummate liar. Ship sunk in WW2? Never on a warship. Injuries in the Pacific? Depression and seeking shrink care in a military hospital. The list is endless. The content of this pseudo-religion is just as poor as his books. This is NOT A CHURCH. It is a tax-free corp.
Scientology is NOT a religion. Hubbard invented this cult as a money making scheme. You have to pay to be a member and there is no higher being or God that they worship. Completely ridiculous!
They are hurting the advancement of psychology for one, which is a terrible thing. And two, tax exempt? Wtf, they already have rediculously rich members and the "church" makes a fortune off them!
I know from personal experience that counseling against psychiatry has and will continue to cost mentally ill their lives, health and wellness. How do I know? Psychiatric intervention saved my life. It is criminal to use a religious platform to counsel people, especially women and children, against their human rights to medical treatment.
