The outrage of such a so-called therapy is beyond my comprehension, as well as hundreds of others I personally have spoken with regarding this situation. Shock therapy to treat mentally challenged individuals should be banned and addressed as an abusive, unnecessary tactic! I am the mother of four children, two whom have mental challenges, I would NEVER recommend nor subject my children to such a horrible torture.
This IS going on in schools in our country, you can google or do a search on shock therapy and see this happening, as well as on media stations nationwide. For fear of slander or such I am NOT naming specific schools, do your own research and see this is TRUE!
If you agree to have this banned from the USA, please sign this petition. I feel forwarding thousands of signatures to the government and courts of states involved will get a response, if not maybe the media would have an interest in seeing the amount of people who come forward and feel this is abuse.
