The City of New London's proposed pedestrian bridge is NOT the way I want my tax dollars spent!

New London should NOT be compounding the Ft Trumbull fiasco with another eminent domain condemnation..
This bridge is unbelievably expensive!
New London can’t afford it.
The State of Connecticut can’t afford it.
This bridge does not address the safety and access concerns of downtown.
It is a boondoggle that benefits one private company.

Please,
Withdraw the eminent domain suit against Union Station
Withdraw the state and federal funding for this monster.
Spend our scarce municipal dollars on vital municipal services like education, police, fire, and health.

Let’s look at alternatives that are effective, affordable and really solve the safety and access concerns for pedestrians and autos in downtown New London.
