Proctor and Gamble not only tests on animals, but they torture and maime them. For instance, the "smell-so-good" Fabreeze is tested on rabits by locking them into a head guard and spraying these substances into their eyes. This will tell them if they will harm our eyes or not.

Oven cleaner is tested on the sides of rabbits and monkeys until their fur, skin, and intestines rot away, while they are alive, with no pain alleviators.

They also test bleach, yes bleach on the eyes and throats of rabbits. They literally spray into their eyes, rub on the skin, and drop down their throats until they die or until the pain stops. Rabbits have been found with holes in their heads where their eyes used to be. Their skin is corroded and their stomachs are exposed.

The sad thing is, the government does not require animal testing on these products. People are fooled into thinking that animals must be tested to see how these products will react in our homes. This is NOT TRUE. The FDA has outlined many forms of testing that gives even more accurate data than animals.

I challenge you to resarch how many products Proctor and Gamble creates. There are several alternate products. You may think that you cannot abandon any of P&G's products such as Tide, bleach, colgate toothpaste; but there are so many alternatives. The cleaning line METHOD available at Target has laundry detergant, floor cleaning supplies, all you could ever want. There are many companies that are cruelty-free that you are probably not aware of. You are probably even using products that are not tested. Revlon has stopped all testing. Avon does not test. The beauty lines Philosophy, Bare Escentuals do not test. Tom's of Maine has beautiful wonderful soaps and toothpastes, even deodorant.

Please at least write to them asking that they abandon such torture and exploitation, because it doesn't have to happen. These sweet, kind, loyal creatures are treated as objects. God created them to enhance our lives, not to destroy theirs.
