I agreed with Bush in the beginning...concerning the war on terrorism, but now I believe we need to pull out of Iraq. Too many lives are being lost for no reason now. Whatever assistance Iraq will need in rebuilding, I am sure they will ask!
I fully supported the war in hopes for a better future for the Iraqi children. I have since seen the way we are effecting our childrens' future. Think of the whole generation of troubled kids were are going to face because they lost their mom or dad. Think of all the parents that will never be grandparents because our country wants to look tough. Someone has to sacrifice for freedom, but enough is enough.
No weapons of mass destruction, no al-queda. Why are brave young American soldiers dying in Iraq? To make the world safe for Halliburton and Bechtel. the networks should change the titles to their coverage to "The Halliburton War"---sickening!
The US ideals are much better than an unnecessary war that we were lied into with neither a strategy to win the peace nor an exit stratety. Getting out now is the honorable thing to do. We need to create jobs in the sustainable energy field. We are a creative people who can not only catch up to other countries who've invested in this field but surpass them.
Not only end the war immediatly but put the murdering lying cowards in jail where they belong on their way to hangin from the gallows... only then will we have our Nation on the way back to truth
As a Vietnam veteran who served honorably, I have the special right to demand that this illegal and immoral war, which is killing my brothers and sisters in the military, as well as thousands of innocent Iraq women, children and babies, end now. The war is based on a vast lie. The perpetraotrs of the war are beyond contempt. This insanity must end.
Let us not forget how powerfull the military-industrial complex is. We must keep the pressure on because the majority of congress is still in the war party. The next administration like every one since WWII will also be under heavy pressure. This is just the kind of activism that can become devastatingly effective if enough people become aware of what a murderous racket we are up against.

It is no wonder alot of the rest of the world despises the United States. We invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, and now we're trying to ram our type of government down their throats. This reminds me of Russia's invasion of Afghanistan back in the late 70's; and what did it get them? Now the United States has joined their ranks. We are now viewed as the playground bully by the rest of the world. I dearly love the United States, but am deeply ashamed of what our government has become.
End this illegal war NOW. The lies now stand exposed.
Lying to start a war is more than an impeachable offence; it the highest possible crime a government can commit against their own people. Lying to start a war is not only misappropriation of the nation's military and the nation's money under false pretenses, but it is outright murder committed on a massive scale. Lying to start a war is a betrayal of the trust each and every person who serves in the military places in their civilian leadership. By lying to start a war, the Bush administration has told the military fatalities and their families that they have no right to know why they were sent to their deaths.
Our nation is founded on the principle of rule with the consent of the governed. Because We The People do not consent to be lied to, a government that lies rules without the consent of the governed, and ruling without the consent of the governed is slavery.
I will boycott all Republican owned companies until our troops are brought home from Iraq.

Out of Iraq now! and NOW is too late. If congress can't stand that, then it can go to Iraq and the people shall lead (don't expect retirement checks; congress has not only shirked it's duty, it has committed crimes against human-nature and the planet).
This country already had one Viet Nam and over 50,000 of our sons and daughters killed and many, many more healthy lives destroyed, for what purpose, then we left in disgrace, now were fighting another no win war again for what reason, over oil why, for strategic location, ITS NOT OUR COUNTRY those people have the responsibility and right to govern themselves, they don't want us there, its their country, why don't we attack China, Cuba or Russia, there is certainly much inhumane treatment of the citizens there, why, cause they have the ability to fight back, there weapons & military are nearly equal to ours, talk about terror, their missles can reach any part of our country. Iraq was not ours to steal. Bush took advantage of 9/11 to gain approval for this outrage. Iraq did not attack us on 9/11.
Please explain how fighting an unjust, immoral war in Iraq keeps us safe here. If anything evil will once again happen on US soil since we can hardly be protected (open society and open borders)
I think that the government we have is really stupid... They see that innocent children are dying in the war and what are they doing to stop it... NOT A DAMN THING... I don't think the children have to pay for the stupid president's mistakes
